If Jesus’ flesh is “no help at all” why did he bother becoming Incarnate?

I am dumbfounded that a person who claims to be a Class A (Catholic) Christian would ask that question...

PS: I know why. I was asking to see what the other guy thought, since he was asserting that the flesh of Jesus is of no worth to us.
