Protestant ignorance is what bothers me.

Yeah, I figured that was coming because of my response to Logitech's simply pinging me to this nutty story. It's not so much that I want to say "whatever, dude," but, what else can I say to those who do not believe the Word of God is IT, and instead worship man-made, unscriptural "traditions" and dead people? Nothing, that's what I can say--NOTHING.

Having visited Lourdes in my youth, I can attest that the Protestants have nothing on the Romanists when it comes to superstition and ignorance (and making big bucks on the same!).

I pinged my wife to this story.

I’m not a protestant and neither is she.

Nor, am I ignorant.

I was brought up catholic and was educated by the Irish in the 60’s-70’s.( Thank you sister Stella).

I got a leg to stand on and skin in the game.

Sorry to bother you.

So, not worshiping Mary is ignorance? I gladly plead ignorance rather than idol worship. Please see comments by former nun, Mary Ann Collins: MARY WORSHIP? A Study of Catholic Practice and Doctrine

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church reading at paragraph 411: "Mary benefited first of all and uniquely from Christ’s victory over sin: she was preserved from all stain of original sin and by a special grace of God committed no sin of any kind during her whole earthly life. The problem is, that is not Biblical! (Here is the link to the Catechism. Please feel free to search for paragraph 411 for yourself. Catechism of the Catholic Church )

Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

Revelation 15:4 says, "Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy."

Romans 3:10 says, "There is none righteous, no, not one."

In Luke 1:47, Mary says, "And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior." IF she is sinless, why does she need a Saviour?
