While I don't think I've ever told someone here that I'd STOP pinging them.
Some remarks are just too juicy to be left for others to reply to!
It’s pretty weird to have someone ping you to ask you not to ping them, when you haven’t pinged them...
My understanding of “not pinging” is that I won’t draw their attention to a particular thread or post on a thread. It does not include not contributing or responding on a thread.
They can pretend my posts do not exist, in that case.
