Yet protestants are deceived every single day by an impurely translated “Bible”! Take the beam from your eye before you take the speck from mine!
Today we celebrate the solemnity of the Body of Christ, a great and unfathomable mystery. You will be remembered in prayer.
I love Richard Bennett. I have posted links to Richard’s materials before.
Prepare for a pounding. The world hates the glorious yet simple gospel of grace and anyone who professes it. Despite his love for Catholics and his deep desire to see them come to a saving faith in Christ, most hate him for it.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17)
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” (Romans 3:20)
Okay. I'm the most notorious "anti-Catholic bigot" on this site, but this is just getting ridiculous.
You cannot believe a book is the Word of G-d on its own authority. Many, many books claim to be the "Word of G-d." The true Word of G-d has to actually be externally authorized in some manner--by G-d Himself.
To believe the Bible is the Word of G-d because the Bible claims to be the Word of G-d (and of course since it's the Word of G-d it must be believed when it claims to be the Word of G-d) is to both affirm the consequent and reason in a circle.
You must be born again. Awesome testimony! I too escaped the Church of Rome.
I am sad that he is so conflicted with his faith. He speaks as if he had to choose between Jesus and the RC Church. An either - or situatoin. Since Jesus established the Church, there ought not to be a conflict, and it is only in his mind.
I pray that his faith does not deteriorate any further, as I really want him to remain faithful to his Savior, and if that is the only way he can do it, then so be it.
The insulting sneers, the gotchas, the profound ignorance expressed is contemptible and all the more so when done by those who call themselves Christian.
Thanks for your post, MM, would that others attempt your example.
Is this the thread with my favorite post, that protestants do (get) everything wrong?
