Sad ping...
We’ll have a gay ole time I guess...
"Do you think that acceptance of homosexual-type sex acts, is conducive to the over-all flourishing of children, adults, families, and societies?
You'd get
No.
No.
No.
Hmm, probably not.
That's the kind of question "Natural Law" would suggest, and to the extent that people have any experience of human nature, they'll tend to answer correctly.
I mean, even aside from Scripture (and many people are not Jews or Christians), Natural Law is a valid kind of moral reasoning, because the Book of Scripture and the Book of Nature have the same Author.
It's imprinted into our very structure, becoming apparent through honest observation and reason.
But do people not know what "Moral" means? Do they think it is just a personal opinion, and therefore, not to be "imposed" even by expressing a considered judgment?
Or do they suppose there is nothing we could call "Human Nature," that we are all just bundles of impulses, with no way to understand each other through what is common to our design?
Do people observe? (I mean observe "reality," not "Reality TV".) And do people reason? A process that requires steadily applied mental activity, persisting over a timespan of two, three minutes! Or more!
I think I see some of the underlying problems.
Yes, truly sad, if true.
The entertainment industry has saturated the culture with this garbage, and too many people have taken it all in.
