Some "Catholic" LGBT organizations were seemingly in a race to cast the first disparaging remark against the new Pope. The Equally Blessed coalition seemingly won the day by labeling the Pope "hateful" within hours of Cardinal Bergoglio's ascendancy to the papacy.
Equally Blessed is an organization which includes participation from DignityUSA, New Ways Ministry, Call To Action, and Fortunate Families. Pro-homosexual organizations all. Their statement which was quoted in many news reports seems to indicate their shock that Pope Francis would be pro-traditional marriage and not in favor of gay adoption:
"If he truly desires to share the Gospel with all people, Pope Francis will come to realize that many of those created in Gods image are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. It is our fervent hope and continuing prayer that Francis will break new ground in opening a conversation with LGBT people so that he may come to know a little about their experiences of Gods grace, mercy and love.
"We are mindful some of our new popes past writings will be profoundly discouraging to LGBT Catholics. During an unsuccessful campaign against marriage equality legislation in Argentina, he wrote things that, frankly, could be considered hateful, calling the legislation that authorized same-sex marriage a machination of the Father of Lies. He also said adoption by same-sex parents was a form of discrimination against children. These are not statements worthy of a pope, or, for that matter, anyone in pastoral ministry.
Hateful? Not worthy of a pope? So who would be worthy of being Pope? According to Equally Blessed, it would seem that faithful Catholics need not apply to the papacy. That would kinda' defeat the point a bit, wouldn't it?...

Sounds like the enclave got it right.
Since the beginning of the Church, there has always been a crowd that won’t be happy until the Ten Commandments turn into “anything goes.”
There is disappointment and despair as all hopes are dashed. The Cardinals elected a Catholic to the Papacy.
And the son rose in the east this morning.
“Dignity” rings a bell. A “Dignity” group was started at USD when I was there. Also, the LA archdiocese used to have a Dignity group in the chancery office, I think I remember my friend at the chancery telling me. I think with budget cuts, due to the sex scandal lawsuits, the LGBT outreach bit the dust, (at the same time as the Respect Life office was also closed.)
Dykes and fags are upset.....I’m happy, happy, happy!
Oh and BTW....don’t look for God to change the rules for you because your lifestyle is honored by the devil!
“...that Francis will break new ground in opening a conversation with LGBT people...”
He will- John 8:11
But I don’t think that’s the sort of “conversation” they want.
Iffin ya don’t like what the RCs teach, just EFN leave. Why stay in an “organization” that doesn’t agree with you?
Unless...you have a political agenda you want others to agree with and adopt as their own?
They aren’t the only ones. Couldn’t sleep last night so I flipped on ABC World News Now and the two anchors were wondering if the new Pope would change the church’s stance on homosexuality and abortion. What idiots.
If these groups won’t accept the teachings of the Catholic church, they are free to leave it. There are plenty of protestant denominations out there who would welcome them and their lifestyle with open arms.
Correspondingly or by analogy all God’s children include rapists, embezzlers, robbers/thieves, etc, etc. Which/who are or can be acceptable to God is really God’s choice when all is said and done.
“Sounds like the enclave got it right.”
D*** right!
Awesome! Well done, Cardinals! If the libs and homos are pissed off, you’ve selected the right man for the job!
They like to see them administered and treated by the RCC as the Ten Recommendations or Suggestions.
Does the rapist say what he’s done was moral aka just an alternate lifestyle? Well at least today he doesn’t but who knows in the future with the ready acceptance of relativistism.
Man marrying man is against nature, against Holy Scripture, against God’s will. At its core, gay marriage is built upon the mortal sin of sodomy. A family does not have as its basis and foundation mortal sin.
