My statement wasn’t intended to mean that every Christian is out there posting as many articles on the FR Religion Forum against Islam as Colorfornian does on Mormonism. What I mean is, any Christian who would vocally object to Mormonism, is also going to vocally object to Islam, if the subject is on the table. At least, I can say I’ve never met a Christian who would view the one unfavorably, and the other favorably.
In fact, it’s really the other way around. There are far more Christians who would vehemently denounce Islam, but have little problem with Mormonism. That’s one of the reasons there are fewer articles on the Religion Forum about the dangers of Islam: there wouldn’t be any debate on the subject! Why preach to the choir?

It’s been said a billion times, but I’ll say it again. These threads aren’t about Romney! They’re about Mormonism, the religion. These same types of threads, from the same posters, have been posted to this forum for years before Romney was running for President, and they will probably continue to be posted to the forum when Romney is just a bad memory we all look back on and slap our foreheads over.

First of all, I don’t agree that other FReepers, are bashing Mormons. I oppose the false cult of Mormonism, as it is a belief system that leads people away from Christ and the hope of salvation. I don’t hope to personally gain anything from that, I’m more interested in what Mormons can gain from waking up to the spiritual danger of Mormonism.
With the recent political fiasco it feels that some are intentionally rubbing salt in a gaping open wound. I'll step back from the ledge now. The Mormon quotations up thread from their "book of nimrod", or what ever they call it, are somewhat off-putting which lessens my need to defend.
