read Luke 24 to see that Jesus died on the sixth day of the week and rose on the first day of the week.

Once again YHvH reckons a day to begin at evening
then day i.e. ending at the next evening.

And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven.
And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Gen 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

we call it saturday evening, but the Bible calls it the first day of the week, the same day that the women found the empty tomb and the same day Jesus rose from the dead and the same day as First Fruits.

i notice no one wants to deal with Luke 13 and how Jesus counted days.

according to Jesus, if He died on a wednesday afternoon, that would be day one.
thursday would be the second day.
friday is the third day.
saturday prior to sundown would be day four.
saturday after sundown would be day five and the first day of the week.

Jesus did not rise on the 5th day, did He?

if Jesus was talking on Wednsday afternoon, here is how the days would be counted:

wednesday = today
thursday = tomorrow
friday = the third day

Creeds are for those that wrap their “worship” around things other than the pure belief in Christ as he presented himself. Real Christians have no need to recite crafted words of men.

Creeds are a summary of the faith, and a helpful standard.

I stated what I did in the way I did as a roundabout way of saying that Rood guy looked (from everything I could find about him on the Interwebz) to be a very, very dubious source for anything Christian.

friday began at sundown thursday night
Saturday began at sundown friday night
Sundown Saturday night began the first day of the week

the Scripture is clear, before dawn the tomb was already empty
before dawn, the soldiers saw someone roll away the stone, in fact, the language is evening time, not even close to dawn

if you disagre with the method of counting days in Luke 13 by Jesus, be prepared to examine how Cornelius says in Acts 10:30 that “....four days ago.....” was counted.

Acts 10:3 = day one
Acts 10:9 = second day
Acts 10:23 = third day
Acts 10:24 = fourth day
