but what you posted didn’t address it at all, while the sign of Jonah was spoken, and revealed, there were surely more than one sign, and this man claimed there was one sign
it is as if he doens’t know the rest of the Bible to make the claim there was only the sign of jonah
By the way, I never heard of him, check my favorite pages, I posted a detailed defense of a wednesday crucifixion, a paper of my own work
That was not very honest of you!
This is a very good presentation.
Making predictions is always a mistake, but is an easy trap to fall into when one makes one of those “Oh Yea!” discoveries.
>> “Only one sign of His authenticity??” <<
.
Obviously the word “authenticity” doesn’t belong in there.
Christ said to the pharisees that there would be only one sign that he would give them that he was the messiah, which was the the three days of Jonah in the fish. It had not been fulfilled at that point, but soon was, and surely they did observe it, but were nevertheless not swayed by it, as they were not of the Lord’s remnant.
The rest of the miracles would not be signs of Christ, because prophets that had come before him had also worked miracles. The three days were an exact prediction of his death and resurrection.
Christians cant count to three?
Could Jesus count to three?
Please read Luke 13:31-33, Jesus tells us the following -
today = day one = Friday tomorrow = day two = Saturday third day = day three = Sunday
There you have the Biblical way to count days from the Master Himself. The Church KNOWS Jesus died on Friday and rose on Sunday BECAUSE SHE WAS THERE, SHE WITNESSED IT.
When you reject orthodox, historical Biblical Christianity, i guess one will accept any false teacher who arises.
even when warned ahead of time.
Days begin at sundown and end at sundown. You seem ignorant of how YHvH counts days.
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
it is all spelled out in Genesis 1
I thought you were selling them.
Have you ever encountered a link that you had to “buy?”
Yes — I told the Religion Moderator that I try to delete those from Catholic materials that I post.
Another example would be something about health — but it came from Nutrilite or Amway. Those links can’t be posted, so I have been told, since they are trying to sell the vitamins.
The one really big error in your post is that Christ did not rise on “sunday,” He rose at the end of the third day, which was at sundown at the end of the sabbath (saturday by our current reckoning)
That Christ had risen was apparently discovered very early on “sunday” but the discovery was not his resurrection.
His crucifixion began on “wednesday” afternoon, just before the sacrifice for passover, which was at sundown, “wednesday.”
It was a perfect three nights and days that he lay in the tomb.
All you had to do is click on one of them, and avoid all the fuss, drama, and false accusation.
>> “I note that it’s difficult to find any firm creed or confession that this Rood guy subscribes to.” <<
.
Creeds are for those that wrap their “worship” around things other than the pure belief in Christ as he presented himself. Real Christians have no need to recite crafted words of men.
That Christ had risen was apparently discovered very early on sunday but the discovery was not his resurrection.
His crucifixion began on wednesday afternoon, just before the sacrifice for passover, which was at sundown, wednesday.
It was a perfect three nights and days that he lay in the tomb.
He rose on the YHvH commanded Feast Day of First Fruits. Paul refers to Yah'shua as our "First Fruits" in Corinthians. Yah'shua did not rise on "Sunday".

The Feast Day is known as Yom HaBikkurim
It is the day following the Shabbat following Passover.

Thanks,
I’ve seen quite a few of Irvin’s presentations (that he has on videos on his site - endtime.com). His take on the trumpets is eye-opening and plausible; that the World Wars have been two trumpets, along with other war situations also being trumpets, with WWIII on the horizon to be another of the trumpets. His research allegedly showed that exactly one-third of the ships in the oceans in WWII WERE destroyed; that WWI was indeed a war that burned up all trees and green grass where the war was fought. - Also, I thought his theory that the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse are the 4 systems of government in the world over the past several centuries was interesting, and made sense. - I suspect that these awful and awesome have already been happening before our eyes, when all along we keep thinking that they’re just symbolic and don’t see what’s right before our eyes. - I’ve been reading Revelation a long time; not really understanding, just reading - but we’re told to READ it; that we’ll be blessed just by reading it, even if we don’t fully understand it.
No, I have to disagree. Rood list all kinds of signs that Jesus was indeed the true Messiah, from the timing of his birth, his ministry (btw, it was only 70 weeks and not 3.5 years according to Rood), the dates of his death and Resurrection and many, many more signs that make it impossible for him to NOT have been the true Messiah. It's really VERY fascinating and EXCITING to watch him lay it out to the very year, day and moment.
What Rood is dissecting in reference to the "Jonah Code", is the one sign Jesus told the Pharisees to look for. That he would be in the earth for three days and three nights.
He had also mentioned it during his first visit to the temple, the year prior.
You know, I download his broadcasts every day. I find him to be humble, and very insightful. What he says does make sense. The sixth trumpet war seems plausible to come first. The way things are progressing, I can’t say he might not be right.
