Yes, Rubio is an ex-mormon. Why would he be a target, he left and became a Christian like most of us ex-mo’s here.

From age 8 to age 12, Rubio got caught up in Mormonism, but by age twelve, he returned to Christianity

Being eight years old and having to deal with whatever the adults were doing around him, and then feeling called back to Christ at the still very young, boyish age of 12, is inspirational and positive.
