Have Freepers Forgotten God? Round-The-Clock Prayer Thread starts Saturday. SIGN UP!

Posted on 11/01/2012 4:53:23 AM PDT by Blogger

Having been around here since 1998, I know the initial question this thread poses is not true. Freepers pray. Freepers pray hard and believe that God will answer. Still, in an election where "getting out the vote" seems to occupy much of our time, "getting out the prayer" is even more important. Only God can save this nation. Romney can not.

Regardless of who is elected, the next 4 years are likely to be pivotal in the history of this nation. We will be tried as gold in fire. When the trial ends, will anything remain? If we seek God, yes. If we turn to Him, repent for our national and personal sins, and truly seek Him, yes. If we stay home and eat, drink, and be merry - the answer is no.

Praying Freepers. Christians. I am calling out to you as we have done since the first Bush election to pray.

We still have a few slots that need to be filled. Please pick a time below to agree to be in prayer and fasting sometime during that hour. The 3 day fast can be total or partial. It may not even be food. Regardless, take whatever it is and use abstinence from that activity or food and use the time to draw close to God.

The Republic, if it is to remain free, depends on you.

All times are EASTERN STANDARD & Remember, Daylight Savings Time kicks in this weekend.

Looks like 12:00 AM Saturday, 1:00 AM Saturday and 2:00 AM Sunday are all that lacks. Hard to tell with Time Zones and All.

Just because a spot is taken does not mean you can't pray...

Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven.
Mathew 18:19

You can put me in at the hour of mercy on Saturday — 3:00 pm, the hour when Christ died.

"It is hard to tell with Time Zones and All if you don't read the entire post". Sorry.

I was going to give a smart aleck reply when I thought it was going to be a "Romney win prayer thread" but saw this: "Only God can save this nation. Romney can not" and agree with it. Since I sleep unpredictably and can't sign up for a particular time will just continuing praying whenever I can (frequently).

"Only God can save this nation. Romney can not"

No, Romney cannot ... nor can any man.

Romney's election may give us a reprieve ... which must not be wasted as 8 years of Bush were wasted.

America must return to God, or America will be destroyed.

I’m really skeptical on the reprieve...he isn’t one of us — has demonstrated that historically ...but I won’t belabor the point on this thread.

May God listen to our prayers.

I’ll do Sunday 2 am! I’m a nightowl, and it’s only 1 am here in Arkansas. How does this work with Standard Time kicking in? Are you going to have to pray the 1:00 slot all over again or would you like to give half of the repeat hour to me? ;)
