I got saved on Aug 18, 1962. I am a tither and a soul winner, and I know the Word pretty well....but I wouldn’t have the chutzpah to condemn and write off Mormons in general or Mitt Romney in particular.
Yes, there is error in Mormonism....just as there is in most denominations....even fundamentalist ones. I think some of us are going to be surprised at some of the people who will be in Heaven. Christ said that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains or throw trees into the ocean. I’m not aware of there being a great desire on God’s part for either one of those things, but I do know that He is not trying to keep people OUT of Heaven; He’s trying to get them IN. The thief on the cross did not actually repent, he was not given gospel tract with the 4 Spiritual Laws nor was he taken through the Roman Road Scriptures. All he did was say to the Lord, “Remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And Christ’s answer was, “Today you will be with me in Paradise.”
Christ also said that by examining the fruit you can pretty accurately evaluate a tree. So let’s look at Mitt Romney’s life. Yes, there are less-than sterling moments in his life, including inability to save some of the businesses he tried to. But he names the Name of Christ; and even as a double-tither, Mitt’s record on benevolence and charity puts me to shame.
Examine King David’s life....and ignore the Bathsheba part and the murder of her husband Uriah. Look at David when he was running from Saul....read First Samuel chapter 27, how David wiped out a number of entire clans, men, women and children, merely to keep them from blowing his cover and revealing to Saul where he and his merry men were holed up....and then stole all those people’s possessions. The secret? David repented. Don’t tell me that ol’ Dave was any more repentant than Mitt.
Christ died for sinners. There is none who doeth good and sinneth not; no, not one.....including you, me, ol King David and ol’ Mitt Romney. Let him who is without sin.....

he wanted nothing to do with Christianity...
he wanted to be the 2nd Mohammad like in the “Alcoran” he declared “Joseph Smith or the Sword”..(1838)
he was excommunicated from the Methodists and the Presbyterians for his immoral unChristian lifestyle and his blasphemy againt God..
Mormonism has nothing to do with the LORD Jesus Christ who is God of the Christian Bible...
Smith never called his religion LDS...
That came later when the Mormns tried to convince people they were no different.....
