There is a power and technique that the church has missed. The quiet stillness where real salvation is gifted to us effortlessly is real prayer. Please find it so we can all fight for our nation and right much more effectively!
amazing how the meaning of John can be so mangled to fit people’s own capitulation to sin. He was meaning that we all have sinned. So obvious as he also says we cannot continue to sin and know God! It is like willful blindness. I am so happy I am not that way, thank God!
Shake the dust off of your feet against this heretic. Nothing good, edifying or Holy can come from further conversation with them.
The most disturbing passages in the NT involve those who insisted they were sinless. They were very proud of what they accomplished.
Luk 18:12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.'
Luk 18:13 But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner!'
Luk 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted."
That statement alone is a lie in itself. You do not and you can not know another persons thoughts. What kind of church teaches this stuff? We are saved by Grace. We should "STRIVE" to be Christ like and not too sin. Sin becomes uncomfortable for us but yes all will sin and yes there still is forgiveness. You pick yourself up ask for forgiveness and try, try, again but on this earth you will not be perfect.
If we could live perfect without sin in this world then Christ sacrifice was in vain. Christ Kingdom is not of this world but His salvation offered us is our way into the next one. Adam sinned as did Noah, Abraham, Jacob, David, Solomon, and on down the line. These were men who were righteous before GOD.
I want to remind you of a verse Christ spoke of. Luke ch 18 9Then Jesus told this story to some who had great self-confidence and scorned everyone else: 10Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a dishonest tax collector. 11The proud Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else, especially like that tax collector over there! For I never cheat, I dont sin, I dont commit adultery, 12I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income. 13But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner. 14I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For the proud will be humbled, but the humble will be honored.
Should we deliberately go out and sin? By all means no. But sin despite our best efforts still happens. Someone cuts you off passing you, you are doing something and get frustrated, or you tell someone a lie even the least of one.
No not one person is perfect & all {except Christ} have sinned and all have sinned while living in the flesh even after being born again as we are in the flesh here on earth and will leave here in spirit. We should strive to be Christ like but we are not Christ.
What you are saying places upon believers backs something which not even the Disciples and Apostles could live up too. But that same reasoning then people must stay sick because as some Charismatics will say they lack faith to be healed. They in doing so torment the lame.
How many kids have you raised? You tell them don't do that no more. Will they? Yea likely so at some point BUT the pain of conscience comes upon them. The kid comes to the parent and says I did {what ever it was you told them not too and I'm sorry}. That should be our relationship with GOD in dealing with our sin. Yes we will still sometimes sin. When we do He is there to hear us.
