James Carville: Romney’s Mormon religion still a problem [Mitt silent on bishop, gov roles]
Daily Caller.com ^ | July 6, 2012 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 07/08/2012 8:01:01 AM PDT by Colofornian

n an appearance on WWL radio in New Orleans earlier this week, James Carville surveyed the Romney campaign and said the presumptive GOP nominee still hasn’t overcome the issue of his Mormon religion.

According to Carville, who has a forthcoming book called “It’s the Middle Class, Stupid,” Romney’s reluctance to talk openly about that is keeping him from dominating the campaign against President Barack Obama.

“One of the problems that Romney has honestly is — the thing against him the most is his religion,” Carville said. “And he doesn’t understand the reasons. He doesn’t talk about that. He was a bishop in his church. And he doesn’t talk about the one public office that he held much and that was being the governor of Massachusetts. So, he talks about Bain, but that’s become sort of a big issue in the campaign. He’s got to, you know — if you look at the numbers, Romney should win this campaign.”

“So, I think Romney is going to come out — I think they’re going to recalibrate their strategy a little bit,” he said. “I think they’re going to have to. And he just going to have to be more aggressive talking about some of the things he has done and give people a window into as who he is.”

The best thing for Romney to do, Carville said, would be to highlight his ability to “fix things.”

“I would say, look people are looking for someone that can fix things,” Carville said. “And you got to tell them Romney is that guy. You know, you accomplished that with the Olympics. You actually accomplished that when you were governor of Massachusetts. And you actually accomplished that when you ran Bain.”

"Ok. You go ahead and pretend you are Daniel."

It's always interesting to see which of the Alynsky methods a given propagandist will use when trying to distract attention from something they cannot deny.

All but the most dull of the dullards knows that saying what Danial did is an example that can serve as a guide for Christians is far from a pretending to be Danial. Someone who makes such an accusation, then, is either a very deliberate propagandist, or the only alternative, someone from among the most dull of the dullards, and that's a fact.

Likewise, speculation that Romney will not do what he says is still speculation while what King Barry is doing is not speculation at all, it's what we all know he is actively doing now. As Christians we are obligated to do whatever little bit we can to deny King Barry the authority to continue to doing what he is doing rather than speculating that the only alternative God has seen fit to provide is no different. That's not pretense, it's a fact.

Each vote King Barry gets that is not offset by a vote for Romney aids King Barry, that's simple math. Therefore it's also a fact that not voting for Romney aids King Barry and is a failure to live up to our obligation to try to dethrone King Barry.

Not voting for Romney is a deliberate decision to make it easier for King Barry to remain in power. Therefore it's obvious to everyone that not voting for Romney is simply supporting King Barry while trying to maintain "plausible deniability" by dressing in robes of self-rightousness.

Some people find that such machinations help them to avoid facing the consequences of their own actions. Other people think such misdirection hides their intentions from those they're trying to influence. There are even those who are such simpletons they can't figure out that fewer votes for one candidate make it easier for the other candidate to win.

While no one wants to think simpletons wonder about FR in herds, only simpletons or propagandists who want King Barry to remain President argue that helping King Barry isn't the same as helping King Barry. Everyone knows that such folks may not agree with a thing King Barry says or does, it just means that these propagandists want to see things get even worse than they already are. Or, of course, that they're just simpletons and not propagandists at all.

Congratulations you win the award for new word of the week - dullard.
Apparently you like to use lots of words to justify your vote for the liberal called Romney, it’s not necessary, just be simple and say “I am voting for Romney”.
I will not vote for a liberal whether they call themselves Republican or democrat.

Thank you for verify my point about the worlds and you may have missed the point I made about where I live.

You see it one way, and i see it another, i did not like Mc Cain but i voted for him because i disliked him less than i did Obama, many people who would have voted for another republican would not vote for him, so we got Obama.

I am just saying how i see it, you have a right to see it how you see it.

To which postulation you already agreed, so it’s clear I am wasting my time responding to you.

Not only is it obviously impossible for some people to not make everything personal, but, "lots of words"? LOL.

Obviously far to many words for anyone to read if they have talking points and recommended responses at hand in case anyone doesn't agree with their agenda.

Those who argue that doing whatever little is possible to try and halt the murder of even more infants is beneath them are either so convinced of their own self-rightousness that they've long ago ceased to worship anything other than their own, Most High and Holy Self, or they can't come to grips with the fact that all we can do is all we can do and Christ expects us to do all we can do, not shrug off the deaths of additional infants that King Barry will without a doubt facilitate.

Otherwise they couldn't claim that actively working to help King Barry remain in office is somehow superior to doing what little is possible to try to remove him.

have a nice day

I guess your reply is about abortion, it’s hard to tell.
You are aware that Romney supports abortion, right?

You know, I've heard about people who were miserable all the time because they suffered from undescended naughty bits. According to the article I read, such folks are abrupt in person as well as seldom being able to completely comprehended what others said. They also seldom understood what they read because they habitually only skimmed any written material they were expected to read. Folks who think they're the only ones who who know all the facts and have considered them before making a decision are the same way.

What I read didn't mention how common the problem was, but I'm beginning to think undescended naughty bits is way more common than common sense.

What are you talking about, using the word “speculation?”
Look at Romney’s ever changing history, he’s more pro-abort
than for life. And the “for life” are words only!

Won’t you kick yourself, when you see Romney return to
his pro-abort and continued pro-sodomy beliefs once he is
elected?

Don’t be part of electing Mitt Romney.

I disagree, God has not “seen fit” to give us Romney. Mormons are a non-Christian sect.

God bless you,

What are Inmans? I see the word used frequently on these threads, but have never come across it anywhere else.

The closest reference I can think of is John Inman, the wonderfully humorous British actor on the old show “Are You Being Served?”

Are you calling folks here “wonderfully humorous British actors”?

The name is derived from a notorious MormonISM apologist who went by the handle 'restornu' at FR. She became so flustered one day that she accused several of the opposition to the ISM posters of being like the 'flying Imams' who tried to make a fuss on an airplane so they could sue the airline for whatever.

Restornu derived her handle probably from the specious claim of LDS inc that Joe Smith, notorious sexual predator of married women and conman peepstone false prophet restored Christianity to the human family, and Mormons like resty believe they can proselytize non-Mormons, to restore their family-hood to the Mormon god on Kolob.

Restornu had visual problems and typed up 'Inmans'. She regularly got posting help from banned apologists who would sent to her whole essays she would then post as hers. When she posted lengthy essays with no errors in the lettering, spelling, or syntax, it was obvious she was not the author, yet she often rebuked us for calling her on the plagarism.

The name 'Inmans' stuck as a badge of honor, for opposing the heresies in the ISM. But the manipulations to this group have changed the ... oh, what the heck. I'm sure the queen of the Inmans will be along soon enough to 'set the record straight' so I'll leave it at that.

" Mormons are a non-Christian sect."

As Ellen Ripley asked, "Did IQ's just drop sharply while I was away?"

Where have I said Bishop Romney or Mormons are Christian or that I was unaware that he has a pro-abort and ignore-abort record?

Bishop Romney is so intent on being whatever will get him ahead that of course he's had that sort of record when it helped him, and of course he will be pro-life if and when that helps him. Bishop Romney is a worthless piece of crap. With extremely rare exceptions, only if and when the time comes that people actually seize control of the Vichy Republican party the same way the fascists seized control of the democrat party will there ever be anything except one piece of crap opposing another in Presidential elections. Even siezing control of the Vichy Republican party wouldn't help long unless the 17th Amendment is repealed. But please, don’t bother with reality when you can just snort another line of fantasy and remain “pure”.

I’m sure Christ does not want anyone to sit by and allow King Barry to remain in office if they have any way to try and help unseat him. If someone has an alternative to Bishop Romney who will be on the November ballot, then please, have them step forward rather than keeping the rest of us in suspense. When I see something like "bloody Kansas" from pre-Civil War history taking place somewhere in the country I’ll believe there’s a slim chance that someone has an alternative to unseating King Barry by voting for Bishop Romney. Everything else is just an excuse to do absolutely nothing other than bragging about having not helped a Mormon even when doing so led to keeping an anti-Christ, anti-Christian, Mooze Lame, in Power. No way any Publican every prayed more loudly than that or beat his chest with pride harder than that.

Everyone who wants to surrender and say there’s no difference between the pig already wearing the crown and a pig in a poke is free to do so. Unlike such folks I refuse to pretend my being “pure” is more important than allowing the sitting king pig to have the one vote lead he’d have by my not voting for Bishop Romney.

Should Bishop Romney win despite the refusal of those who believe they’re maintaining their purity by not voting for him and his winning spares the life of so much as a single infant, maybe then some of those folks will wake up and realize that they’ve become exactly like the fascist democrat crowd who put their personal political purity ahead of all else, even the lives of infants.

No, I won't kick myself if Bishop Romney is what you expect of him. Just the change of Presidents will have at least been a period of time when one piece of crap had to put his people in place and have new heads of various things approved by Congress. That means there's at least a chance that some amount of slowing will be introduced in the machinery of death just by department heads and judges having to be replaced. That's next to nothing, but leaving Barry in place is nothing; nothing but an acceptance of King Barry as an immovable object who will still have veto power no matter how Congress salts out.

have a just wonderful day

Hi Rash,

“As Ellen Ripley asked, “Did IQ’s just drop sharply while I was away?”

~ ~ ~

How can I have a just wonderful day now? And now I can’t
offer it up.

Why don’t you pray for a miracle instead of settling for
either one, they are both evil, their history shows it. God will not bless this nation, Mormons are not Christian and Obama is Herod. Imagine, all these years, Romney
hasn’t realized who are Lord is, that’s nuts. A Christian
hierarchy in a non-Christian sect...Bishop Romney.

Hey, smile,

"Why don’t you pray for a miracle instead of settling for either one, they are both evil, "

I do that all the time and should probably warn Bishop Romney that while I've only been confirmed as Catholic this year I have an excellent record of having been granted miracles that I didn't even ask for as well as those I have asked for. Now that I"m Catholic and a part of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, a whole lot of things that people think will require a miracle to change are going to change.

I can't ignore King Barry getting one vote ahead of anyone else due to my sitting this one out when that other person may be susceptible to pressure and not veto something Republicans who do care might pass, or due to pressure from pro-life people appoint a pro-life judge to any Federal bench. I know King Barry would veto anything he could and never appoint a pro-life judge or even hire a pro-life janitor if he knows they're pro-life.

God bless, Regards

Ah HA!

You must have missed your med increase we sent out; making it SO much easier to manipulate thought patterns.

THAT must be why you've become; shall we say; off the reservation.

There is still time to return; to nestle in the warmth of Mother Hen's wings.

Do it now; so that your space at the fall cabal meeting at Binger's will be reserved.

I did smile at your “Bishop Romney.”

I love this post of yours, Congratulations, I am so happy for you. You must be very, very happy.

Coincidence? I was going to post a message to a Seer in Sydney in a FR faith thread but it’s perfect here. I read your words for the first time...and look at the message!!

The Great Warning is closer, no more Protestantism, no more
heresy. No more schisms. Alleluia!@! Finally, we are all going believe the same.

Message to Valentina

June 11, 2012

Do not worry about the tomorrows. I will put all in correct order as needed in time and space. This My child goes for you also regarding your future. My Plans are always perfect in every way as you well know. All differences will be accepted by all parties concerned in love and appreciation. Believe in Me that I know what is best for you and your family. I will take good care of them wherever they may be. I will never forget My little one. You will be fed to overflowing because of your sacrifices by these acts of kindness and love. Your rewards will be a hundredfold and more as you see all the results of your pleas to Me. You can’t imagine the results of these sacrifices you are making all for the love of Me. Hold on tight to your faith and belief on what you have been taught from the beginning of time. My Word, My Ways HAVE NOT changed and will not change. New ideas and false teachings and prophecies are all the work of My adversary to confuse your mind. There is only one God Who reigns over the One, Holy, Catholic, (Universal) Church. Let all who disagree see My Light and be saved by your sacrifices and Masses. You know Truth when it is spoken in Truth by the one who believes in Truth. Come stay with Me.
