Jimmy Carter = Southern Baptist and extreme liberal

Nancy Pelosi
Ted Kennedy
John Kerry
Joe Biden
Tom Daschle

We could play this game all day, going tit for tat.

Answer the question, please. Do you believe that overpopulation is a significant problem in the world today?

It is your job to go on a site of conservative political activists and political junkies and explain to them that this is all an illusion.

Explain to freerepublic that almost everything they know about voting and politics, demographics, sex, race, religion, states, education, income, isn’t usable.

Romans 10:8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord SHALL BE SAVED.”

No maybe
No might be

SHALL BE

I’m an American.

Let me ask you if you think that liberal voters are bad, and conservative voters are good?

So you are suggesting that the southern baptists couples that choose contraception are also choosing to abort their children, that they are liberal, and that the southern baptists are better off if they don’t have children?

I did not intend to suggest that, and I apologize for failing to make myself clear. I was suggesting that those who commit abortion are eliminating their own children and eventually their own warped values. I did not intend to comment on birth control at all.

“I did not intend to comment on birth control at all.”

The title of the thread is ‘Baptists and Birth control’.

Are you sure you’re in the right thread?

You first.

Do you believe that overpopulation is a significant problem in the world today?

Well, this is freerepublic, so someone that defends liberalism could feel exposed.

As far as overpopulation, I don’t think that America is underpopulated at all.

As an American I know that we need to stop the left, for me that means trying to turn leftist voters and sympathizers into conservatives.

You were asked “Let me ask you if you think that liberal voters are bad, and conservative voters are good?”.

So then you do believe over population is a problem. Thank you. That explains why you support contraception. Are you aware of a fellow named Thomas Malthus?

“Let me ask you if you think that liberal voters are bad, and conservative voters are good?”.

Truthfully? I believe that conservativatism is correct.

I also believe that Conservativism expressly teaches that human nature is corrupt and sinful. This is why we need checks and balances, and why we must be concerned about the preservation of liberty.

Ergo - no, I believe we are all fallen and are in need of redemption and Christ.

Um, no he is not. Jimmy Carter left the Southern Baptist convention because it had grown too conservative. We had a big old fight and the conservatives won. Most of the liberal congregations left to be a part of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship where they don’t care if you believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God or if you have women pastors or if you support homosexual rights and abortion, etc.

I just love to threads that give the leftists and fascists plenty of ammunition for their argument that Conservatives and Christians don't have the sense God gave a jackass.

So far, Christians in this country can't work together and shut the he// up about what they don't agree with one another on long enough to win one single battle. No wonder a country where over 78% of the population claims to be Christian (58% non-Catholic Christian) has been handed over to leftist scum.

The fascists and leftists can cooperate with one another long enough to win propaganda battles and seats in Congress. Obviously, those who claim they're Conservative Christians, both Protestant and Catholic, can't. This is and always has been a Protestant nation and when Protestants can be as anti-leftist as they are anti-Catholic maybe Catholics can wake up and repent for substituting 'going along to get along' for their faith.

This Christian country has handed total control of Congress over to those with an anti-Christ agenda for almost all of the past eighty years. That's reality, and people who won't fight together long enough to win a single skirmish or lay the occasional successful ambush need to either figure out how to work together or at least have the good sense to not keep making fools of themselves by pointing fingers at their allies.

JMHO

This is a conservative site in an election year.

This is not the UN and the Al Gore/Madonna defense of liberal voters forum.

Instruct Catholics to vote like Southern Baptists, if that is too high a hurdle, then encourage them to vote like Protestants but for God’s sake, do anything to switch them from voting as Roman Catholics.

The problem(??)... with Protestantism, you get to decide.

************

Not everyone has "arrived" yet....
They are still on their journey of faith, learning and growing closer to God...

You have a "choice" also.....

You can either be patient with your kindred in Christ...
Pray for them and encourage them along the way--
--OR--
Permit a "holier-than-thou" spirit use you to sow discord among the faithful...

Your choice for today is in plain sight. Pity.

The pro-life/pro-marriage voting block has more Catholics in it than any other religious affiliation.

The ardent organized pro-life movement is a Catholic movement that has spread to include those with other affiliations. The ardent organized pro-marriage movement is the same.

Catholics are happy to welcome others to our dogmatic opposition to anti-family and anti-life policies and candidates.

My church belongs to the Southern Baptists Convention. Everyone I know in my church and circle are Conservative voters. When teaching your flock how to be moral rather then how to know God and glorify Him you will fail. It is through a personal relationship with Jesus that helps me make right decisions in life. And that includes political ones.

UN globalism is foreign to Americans.

I would like to see Catholics embrace conservatism.

Christians can use birth control, just as we can use soap to avoid the natural growth of bacteria on our bodies.

I see very little conservativism in Romney.

I see plenty of UN Globalism.

I will continue to advocate that conservatives - Catholic or Protestant, vote for Virgil Goode.
