Dear Salamander, If you are to find your snake please forget all of that psychic stuff. It is forbidden in the Bible. Many psychics are often well meaning, but do not realize that their source is not God but rather demons who are coming as light to them to deceive them about the nature of spiritual things. God is enough. If it is His will for you to find your snake, you must depend upon Him and Him alone, Spiritually speaking, to help you. Pray to Him and be open to His leading. If He has taken your snake home we have to remember that He is in charge of life and death and He cares for His creatures even much more than we do. He is there when a sparrow falls, the Bible says. I will continue to pray that you find your beloved pet in Jesus Holy Name and by His power.

You’re right about cats and tumors. I always “pet” my cats, at least once a week, feeling them all over for tumors. I’ve only found one so far, but my finding it saved my cat’s life, for it was a malignant breast tumor.

The doctor was stunned that I had found it in time because normally he didn’t see cats with tumors until it was too late to save them. He removed it, and she lived another six years until she was 19-1/2.

The little 12-week-old kitten that was put out by neighbors to fend for herself because she had an eye infection turned out to be my Tiger. She always appreciated being rescued from a short, brutal life. Her birthday (arbitrarily chosen), July 26, is coming up. I’ll never forget her.

This may sound liek a weird question but what state do you live in? I am thinking climate/temperature. I don’t know much about snakes but I think they like it warm so maybe it went somewhere based on temperature.

Rimadyl? I’ve used buffered aspirin before, until that particular dog (same collie) improved with the perna mussel pills enough to come off it. The aspirin did trigger occasional tummie upset but the arthritis relief looked worth it. Shame about Izzy.

So when’s the psychic to come do his thing? All the best in your search until that rascally snake is found.

Awwww..... birfdays for pets!!!

All our lovies each have an A-Day and a B-Day celebration every year.

One for their adoption day and one for their birthday!!! If we don’t know an exact birthday, we approximate.

I was going to suggest a psychic and from reading the posts on this page, looks like you consulted one already. Please keep us posted, dear Salamander!!!!

I haven’t revisited the thread yet this morning but one thought struck me, and that was my childhood and young adulthood, growing up at the foot of an isolated, small southern mountain range. Lots of snakes, from your garden variety nonpoisonous on up to rattlrsnakes.

When hiking or even near wooded areas in unseasonably cool weather during summer, or during unseasonably warm weather in late fall, winter and early spring, you need to watch yourself near rock outcroppings and such that absorb and hold heat. Snakes seek such places out when they’re cold.

Look in the warm places.

The purpose, intent and fruits born of it will indicate the ultimate source. Visions and meaningful dreams containing portents are not alien to Christians and Christianity.

You are correct in observing that this can open the door to malign influences, though, especially for the naive or spiritually weak and ungrounded.

Prayer, thankfulness and His will be done is a given, always, or certainly should be.

Hi Salamander, I am praying that you will find your beloved pet.

I haven’t had time to read every post carefully, but is it possible to bring in a wise ol’ cat who could keep watch? Obviously, you wouldn’t leave the cat alone. Just one you could keep an eye on while it sleeps or roams around.

Even tho’ you know I am not a snake lover, I am sincere in my hopes that your baby will turn up unharmed.

My first Jack Russel, who had not been well treated in his first home, got out of the fenced yard during a thunder storm. I searched for him for months but never found him. So I am well aware of your distress at this time. Best wishes for a recovery very soon.

Okay... let’s say the psychic is right. Alice is in a piece of furniture. That leaves little options in your house. It is either the couch, love seat, fluffy chairs. Flip the darn things over and look for a small hole big enough for Alice to get into. Many of our pieces of fluffy furniture have the lining on the bottom missing a staple or two. Perhaps if his “nice, peaceful world” is turned upside down... he’ll leave. Or, if you put your hand in (he won’t bite it, will he? then you could feel him. Did you check behind the fridge, washer and dryer? Use a flashlight and check as well as you can inside the coils.

Okay... I am going to be the rude, insensitive Freeper who asks this so please don’t get mad. I am doing this as an outsider looking in, okay?! Let me first say that many (not all) husbands want to protect their wives. They do so in ways that we can’t completely understand. Is it POSSIBLE (notice the big word POSSIBLE) that your hubby found Alice deceased and to protect you from sadness, he removed him and allowed you to think he is missing. To be missing, gives the hope that he is okay dokey and just out in nature. If this question offends you, let me apologize. The reason I ask this question is I know of one close friend... her husband did this when her cat died. He had the best, most loving intention of not coming forth with the truth. It is complicated but he truly is a great guy and his mindset was to protect her from grief. Hugs, Mom (if you are still taking my hugs?!)

"[what?!? we’re talking snakes!]

I said it was tanking due to the economy and he said hubby was ‘being investigated by someone’ [Eeeeek!!! Alphabet agencies? No.] and before summer was over, that someone was going to show up and a lot of money would be involved and the psychic was “very happy about that.”.

What just happened to me?

I called about the snake!

Both psychics referred often to “God” and “prayers” so I don’t feel uncomfortable with that even though it’s something I don’t really “do”.

Any thoughts?

I thought you would have found your snake by now. :(

My thoughts about the psychic are this---nothing good comes from that kind of thing. She might think she is getting her signals from God, but according to the Bible, she isn't, because He told us to stay clear of them. I'm not surprised about the unsolicited information that made you uncomfortable. Years ago, when I was dating the man who became my husband, a woman I knew who got "psychic visions" gave me an unasked-for prediction about my relationship with him that was extremely upsetting and turned out to be completely untrue.

Hoping you find that snake....I know you have to be worried sick.

I'd believe the psychic. Try turning your couches over and see if he's in the bottom, under the lining. That's where my friend found his.

25 years ago, I had a psychic tell me to watch my abdominal area as I would have some problems with it. I was barely 20 at the time and fit as could be. At 46 the problems with my stomach began!

I hope you find him soon and I'll bet he's going to be hungry. Just curious - will you wag your finger at him and tell him he's a bad, bad snake, LOL?

They could not afford the vet bills (neither could we, but we paid them anyway). I'm not sure, but they may have been in the country illegally as well. I just took Tiger in and had her treated. It took a while because she had a congenitally blocked tear duct, so nothing helped until the vet got her tears flowing again in that eye.

Forevermore, every time we moved and perforce changed vets, the first question they asked of us was, "Has she ever been hit in the head?" because of her one wonky eye. We had to explain about the duct and the difficulty of the diagnosis. It did get much better as she got older, but it was always a bit off.

You can see that her right eye is just slightly smaller. It was worse when she was tired or upset.

She was such a lovey girl.

Very effective cure for blocked tear ducts (for the brave only) is the juice of a white onion.
