If you read the whole article to the end. The importance of the sabbath is a day of rest then what day of the week. Christ is talking about a day of rest not what day of the week. Reread the whole article. Also the authority given the church.

What Church? Gods Church has been established in Heaven. Jesus is our High Priest. He is the Cornerstone which the builders have rejected. He is the Rock of Ages.
