Then your experience is unfortunate and anemic, at best, imho.
The most self-sacrificing Christians I’ve ever known have been Charismatics/Pentecostals.
It is SCRIPTURE
WHICH INSISTS that
WE ARE *IN* CHRIST
AND
CHRIST IS *IN* US.
Take the issue up with HIM.
Obviously that IS THE TRUTH
else Christ would not have said it.
Denial of THE TRUTH does not cancel THE TRUTH.
What I see every Sunday in church is a huge emphasis on the Spirit.
HE’S the one being invited to come and join us during the worship service, as if He’s not there anyway. And the focus is on what the Holy Spirit is going to do through us and in us in the way of miracles, especially healing, with a huge does of tongues and prophesying thrown in for good measure.
And the biggest concern I have about the prophesying, is that there is no record being kept of the prophesies and their fulfillment, thus providing no opportunity to weed out the false prophets.
So my post was wrong?

It isn't necessarily denying the truth....as truth will always cause division Quix, and it may very well not be denial....rather what one "believes" in about what they perceive as truth.
