when anyone applies for a state job in parts of Utah, their ward records are checked. If there is no ward membership, the position is already filled, I’m sorry. This is a very slick way to get around any right-to-work or fair-hiring laws. I know. Because my husband (Catholic) tried repeatedly to get work in Utah. Same story everywhere. (of course, this was in the nineties...

What you say in a public forum - when it’s “Vote only for candidates of the right religion” - is complete idiocy -

These GARMENTS (official name) are worn next to the skin. Underwear like bras and panties go over the garments. (at least, that’s how it used to be...) A Bishop is the “pastor” of a ward, a relatively low-level place in the heirarchy, as opposed to Apostle, or Council of 12, for instance. There are NO archbishops in the Mormon church. They do not use honorific titles like “Reverend” or “Right Reverend.”

I did say Romney is who he is BECAUSE he is mormon not in spite of it.
And I did say I was not voting for him, because he is a stink’n liberal and there is not a dimes worth of difference between him and BHO.
