Man... I’ve had mrsa in my spine 3 times. Its put my in the ICU numerous times. Stuff kills more than HIV. Scary stuff...

How many nurses carry disease into the community by wearing their uniforms in public (and vice versa)? Years ago nurses left their uniforms in hospital at the end of the shift where they were laundered in-house. The uniforms never left the hospital grounds. Many people also need to learn basic hygiene i.e. use a handkerchief when they cough or sneeze and WASH THEIR HANDS after using the toilet. - Grouse, SomewhereinEngland, 02/2/2012 18:47 Er...there is nowhere for nurses to change in most hospitals except a grotty staff toilet that no doubt is covered in bacteria as the domestics only clean them once a day. It's hardly the nurses fault and bringing uniform cleaning back to NHS hospitals would no doubt cost too much when the NHS is already struggling. Also what would you propose that community nurses travelling around many patient homes each day? Change between each person? Some nurses don't wear uniforms do they so you wouldn't even realise if you sat next to them on a bus!
