In giving birth you kept your virginity; in your Dormition you did not leave the world, O Mother of God, but were joined to the source of Life. You conceived the living God and, by your prayers, will deliver our souls from death.507
So you agree then, that the prayers of Mary will deliver people's souls from death?
Her prayers to Jesus, yes. Our concept of the relationship between Mary and Jesus is like that between the queen mother and the kings of Judah. A king had many wives but only one mother.

On earth, Mary’s will was in conformity with God’s, since she is “full of grace.”
As Queen of Heaven, Mary’s will is certainly in complete conformity to God’s, so she cannot ask for that which God does not will.
