More clearly, mediator is the “go-between”, and 1 Tim says what has always been believed and is still believed by all of orthodoxy — that all prayers etc. go through Christ alone.

Now you're saying that nobody prays to Mary and the saints?

Well, one position is being misrepresented. Either Catholics pray to Christ alone for real, or Catholics pray to Mary and saints to get to Christ to get to God.

The minute someone else is added to the mix, the person is not going through Christ ALONE.

Typical - you keep asking questions and answer none yourself, giving the excuse "asking me about my beliefs is a personal question"

Are you saying that you believe that a mother produces a child's soul? Do you believe that mother's create the baby's soul?

What else does your philosophy teach? We Christians whether Orthodox/Catholic/Oriental/Lutheran or Presbyterians or Pentecostals or Baptists or Methodists etc. believe that God created everything that is seen and unseen.

According to Aquinas’ Summa Theologica the ‘saints’ are mediators and intercessors to be prayed to for favors and they to God.
Where that fits in with, “No one comes to the Father except through me”, isn't mentioned.

I see that some individuals do overtake a thread.....but it's the same old story of denial and attempts to justify their "idolatry"....sin. Arguing about Mary's exalted 'Queen-ship' and her equal role as "savior" position in Catholicism is like trying to argue that the Pope is a man made position. It's just not possible to change the minds of those who are settled on the matter and who, just as it is written, will teach others to follow in their idolatry.

The Pope himself bows and prays before statues of Mary and the people do follow the man over and above Christ's warnings not to do such things.

As the day approaches Mary will take even more prominence in Catholicism as this 'goddess' already runs thru the the false and cult religions worldwide. Though they give her other names it would not take a great deal to see her as one once the people are sent the great delusion God will send....it is goddess worship and just as it united the people after God separated the people...so too will it unite them once again.

.......female goddess worship is the one common denominator among all cults and false religions from Hinduism to New Age, to various other faiths across the globe.

The prayers of the Church go directly to Christ, as our head. Even on earth, there are people who we trust to speak what we feel in our hearts, because they are more gifted. What you are denying implicitly is that Mary and the other saints are members of the Church. That they are can be our spokesman, because they are oblivious to us or unable to hear us.
