They are moving her out of ICU and into the Transitional facility this afternoon. She will be spending about 4 hours a day in PT. I think she would appreciate flowers or a card.

She really appreciates all the prayers. She said they are working.

This is to my regular ping list and all FRiends who are posting and praying here for dear Yorkie.

I talked to her today for a good long while and she is doing as good as could be expected. She broke down a few times and kept wondering why she was not dead. I told her that God had left her here for a Big Reason and she will find out as she gets better. I told her that hundreds and hundreds of FReepers and FRiends were praying for her. She wanted me to read the title and the top part of this thread and I did. She did say she would be glad when she could get back online and I thought that was a healthy thought and it made me feel a little better.

Her son and daughter have both been there and were leaving when I called and I tried to hang up and call her back when they were finished saying goodbye but she wouldn’t let me. Tomorrow night is the big party for her granddaughter.

They will be moving her to rehabilitation this afternoon and she told me the hospital said she would be there at least 2 weeks. They got her up for a few steps this afternoon also.

She said the police had recovered all of her personal belongings such as her purse, cosmetics, jewelry, and her cell phone. She said she was charging her cell phone at that time. Yorkie said the whole top was torn off the van and they were not pulling a trailer and doesn’t know where that came from. Yorkie was in the passenger front seat, Tiapam was driving and Cardhu was in the back seat. She and tiapam had on seatbelts and Cardhu didn’t and was thrown from the van and died instantly. The top of the van crushed tiapam and killed her. Yorkie said it also hit her head and she has staples and stitches all over her head and body. She has a lot of injuries but they are not life-threatening, Praise the Lord!

I felt a little better after talking to her and she realizes she has a long road to travel and a lot to overcome with the death of her good friends. It is so very sad.

There’s many things I can’t recall at the moment but I thought you all would love to have this update. We will all keep praying for her overcoming her physical and mental pain she will be enduring. God Bless Her. And may Tiapam and Cardhu Rest in Peace.

I spoke with yorkie shortly ago. We actually had to hang up as they came in to move her.

She is trying to stay as positive as possible. She's a strong lady. However, pain does take its toll. She wants everyone to know how much she appreciates their prayers and well wishes and the love she has for FR. I assured her we will not give up the prayers being sent her way.

Rehab will be an exhausting experience but she will heal physically, eventually. I'm very thankful her injuries weren't any worse than they are. Emotionally, I'm sure, will take somewhat longer.
