Yorkie asked me to post an update and I told her that we were all keeping the thread updated after we talked to her.

Thank you Amy for the update. It’s good to hear that she is starting rehab so soon. The sooner she starts, the faster she’l get her strength back. Prayers that all goes well with that!

It WAS nice to know what happened with D’Ogee. I’m glad she won’t be alone for all that time.

I am so thankful that Pam's dog will get to live out his life with her "brother". I have also been concerned about D'Ogee.

Yorkie update as of 7pm PST...

Her sense of humor is beyond comparison. She had me laughing through the whole conversation. She got her shower and her hair washed. AND, she's learning to feed herself with her feet...but, only with a spoon, she said! lol (Seems the only thing she wants more than her hair brushed is to be able to cough!) What a great lady she is!

Her son and daughter will both be there again tomorrow so she will be able to get that brush to her hair!

She sends her love and thank yous to all!

Pretty neat that she can bend her knees, still, at 79 years old! :)

I just had a *moment*...a *thought*...

Suppose the food could be put DIRECTLY on the bed tray thingy. Suppose said bed tray thingy can be tilted towards the patient.

Perhaps said patient could put her mouth at the rim of said bed tray thingy and shovel the food into one’s mouth, bypassing the fork and spoon.

I’ll go away now before I get kicked off of FR... :)
