i hope you had a Merry Christmas.

concerning the Sabbath and what the Apostles taught, the NT is clear the Apostles never taught nor kept the 7th day Sabbath.

but i want you to consider something you may not have thought of before. the Apostles went all over the known world in their day preaching the Gospel and growing the Church. they taught the same Gospel and the same doctrines. so when Paul was in Greece or Rome, the Christians there believed the same doctrines as James taught in Jerusalem and John in Turkey. after the Apostles were all dead, the men they entrusted the Church to would meet and exchange letters and they discovered the Universal Faith that they had been given in common. this Universal or Catholic Faith was then handed down from believer to believer, even though there was great persecution from Rome.

don’t you think if the Apostles kept the Sabbath the NT would need to contain explicit rules on what this meant for all the Gentile converts who had no prior knowledge of Sabbath keeping? of course it would.
don’t you think if the Apostles taught Sabbath keeping, there would be record of the early Church Fathers explaining this?
don’t you think when the false docrine ( in your eyes ) of Sunday worship was introduced, we would read about the great controversy that ensued when the Sabbath keeping churches kept to the Apostolic Tradition? of course we would, except history shows this controversy never happened since the Church NEVER kept the Sabbath.
suppose a 7th day adventist preacher told his congregation that next week they would worship on Sunday and never keep the Sabbath again!! don’t you think there would be controversy? don’t you think he would be fired? why would the 1st or 2nd century be any different?

once you finally understand the doctrine of the Church as the Body of Christ, and the role the Holy Spirit plays in guiding and protecting the Church, the idea of keeping the Sabbath will quickly be dismissed as false doctrine taught by false teachers.

think and pray about it.

You say they are clear? It's not clear to me. What is clear to me is that the 10 Commandments were for all of mankind. Some Jewish practices were inappropriate for Gentiles because they did not pertain to them but the LAW? The law is Gods known will for man to follow. We do not know sin without the law. The law cannot save, to be sure, but it is the known will of God for us to follow. Jesus followed it. Jesus said IF you love Me keep My Commandments. Do you love Jesus? Are we to keep it now (in the last times)? Read Rev.12:17 Do you love the Catholic Church more than Jesus? think and pray about it
