She will accept NOTHING that is NOT blessed by SLC.

I gave her The History of The Church, which was started by Joseph Smith, Jr., continued after is death by the leaders of the LDS Church, and published by the LDS Church on the official LDS Church website, out of Salt Lake City.

How do you get any more blessed by SLC than that? I guess it's not a Second Anointing, but I'm not Mitt Romney.

It was another hit-and-run piece. I was accused of being a liar and poisoning the water for repeating some inconvenient truth contained in the official History of the Church published by the LDS Church.

When I link to the LDS sites showing I was right? No apology for the character assassination, no "thank you for telling me; I didn't know that," no "I stand corrected; you were right." My guess is she didn't even read her own church's website and History, because she has her testimony and desire to protect the church from any unflattering piece of history. It's Apostle Boyd K. Packer's 'faith-promoting history" and "The Mantle Is Far, Far Greater Than The Intellect" but on a personal level. Which is just as scary as Ph.D. historians being instructed to leave out historical facts that show the church or its leaders in an unflattering light for fear of being excommunicated or disenfellowshipped, as many have been.

These hit-and-run accusations of hatred, bigotry, lying, and the like are commonplace. There's never any follow-up, no matter that you prove your point solely from LDS-authorized materials.

Just make a personal attack, a baseless claim, a hit-and-run slur, and disappear.

Again, see 323 and my other response. You said I poisoned the water and called me a liar without exactly using that word. I gave you the link to the official LDS History of the Church. You were wrong. Two guns. Cyrus Wheelock, one of the early members of the LDS Church, smuggled the guns.

Please apologize and acknowledge the truth.

Do the right thing. Or are you a hit and run, no honor, Mormon?

Well...

In conclusion let us summarize this grand key, these “Fourteen Fundamentals in Following the Prophet”, for our salvation depends on them.

1. The prophet is the only man who speaks for the Lord in everything.
2. The living prophet is more vital to us than the standard works.
3. The living prophet is more important to us than a dead prophet.
4. The prophet will never lead the church astray.
5. The prophet is not required to have any particular earthly training or credentials to speak on any subject or act on any matter at any time.
6. The prophet does not have to say “Thus Saith the Lord,” to give us scripture.
7. The prophet tells us what we need to know, not always what we want to know.
8. The prophet is not limited by men’s reasoning.
9. The prophet can receive revelation on any matter, temporal or spiritual.
10. The prophet may advise on civic matters.
11. The two groups who have the greatest difficulty in following the prophet are the proud who are learned and the proud who are rich.
12. The prophet will not necessarily be popular with the world or the worldly.
13. The prophet and his counselors make up the First Presidency—the highest quorum in the Church.
14. The prophet and the presidency—the living prophet and the First Presidency—follow them and be blessed—reject them and suffer.

I testify that these fourteen fundamentals in following the living prophet are true. If we want to know how well we stand with the Lord then let us ask ourselves how well we stand with His mortal captain—how close do our lives harmonize with the Lord’s anointed—the living Prophet—President of the Church, and with the Quorum of the First Presidency.

Ezra Taft Benson

(Address given Tuesday, February 26, 1980 at Brigham Young University)

Bah!

We HAVE no 'unflattering history' until you Hateful BIGOTs get hold of it and post it for all to see!

Flip!

So they are AUTHORIZED; eh?

Even after you post a LOT of it; it is STILL considered 'out of context' because our precious words were not uttered in one of our own, CLEANSED Temples or such!
