Here is a synopsis of the unfortunately wrong interpretation of Biblical prophecy as practiced by Catholics and mainstream Reformed religions that leads some of the adherents to turn against Israel and put themselves in a position of enmity with God.

And here, here, and here is overwhelming Scriptural proof of God's future plans for Israel, the fact that they will hold exalted positions in His earthly Millennial Kingdom, the fact that He is in the process of bringing them back into relationship with Himself, and the fact that the nation of Israel will be saved.

Bible-believing Christians are absolutely correct in their love and support of God's chosen people, the Jews, and His chosen nation, Israel.

All non-believers war against God regardless of whether they're Jews or someone else. And less we be too boastful, Christians were in that exact same position until our Lord opened our eyes and unstopped our ears to see and hear the truth. And yet we still war against Him if we're reasonably truthful.

There are many very good reasons to support Israel but "because they're God's chosen people" is not one of them. They are not chosen simply because they do not believe. At least that was the words of Christ.

It is besides the point of whether God has plans for Israel or not. God is using Israel simply because it exist. But you could rightfully argue the same about any other country. God uses all nations and all rulers to bring about His glory. It is not because Israel is special any more then America is special.

We should support Israel because it's just; not because we happen to have some wacky idea that God loves them more than anyone else. God shows no partiality.

Absolutely...and on that note I think that is also why the rapture will occur before Israel goes thru her trial and testing. I don't know that we could bare up 'seeing' what she'll be going thru before the Lord steps in and stops it all.

I believe without doubt the Christians then will be given an ability to bare what they will see and know... but it will no doubt be heartwretching and gutwretching just the same. Just reading about it, and knowing Israels history under persecution and hatred brings one to tears. What is ahead for them defies imagination...and no wonder the Lord asks us to pray for Israel...for He knows who of Israel will makeup the Remanant...may God enable each one even now and when that time comes to bare it.
