Gay Episcopal Bishop to Preach at San Francisco Catholic Parish

A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.

Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.

Did I say He was? I do pray privately for the souls of our enemies. That much hate has surely caught the notice of Christ Jesus. I privately pray exorcism prayers, and there is nothing you can do about it. This thread is filled with hate, and some hate only God can conquer with His saving Grace and mercy. G

Seems to me that the RM did not indicate that he was being harassed into forbidding exorcism prayers.

Not that exorcism prayers aren’t said privately. And candles lit. ;-D No way for you to control that, is there?

And Scriptural precedent for lighting candles as part of exorcism rituals is found where in the Bible?

2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Now if Satan was chained to have no influence when Christ died on the cross how could he be blinding “the minds of them which believe not” and how would he still be called “the god of this world” by Paul?
