A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.
Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.
It is worse than laundering and bigotry. It is outright deception meant to inflame others against Catholics so they can beat their own breasts like the pharisees and cry, “BLASPHEMY!!!”
I will honestly look at these quotes and respond when given a REAL quote and not some redacted version which leaves out the meat of the theology or principle the author is developing.
One of the quotes left out a whole line which totally altered the understanding of the author’s intended meaning.
And, I am tired of them pretending they come up with these quotes on their own. When googling just the quotes, a laundry list of anti Catholic websites comes up with the exact wording, the exact redaction and the exact accusations.
If I google the title of the book from which the quote comes, I get Catholic and non Catholic sites selling the book.
That fact that they think we are all too stupid to have figured out their game sheds a great deal of light on the way they argue their points and how they use Scripture quotes.
I better stop now before I go too far. But, I know that you and all the other Catholics here get exactly what I am feeling.
Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
When one rejects Christianity and forms a church of one, issuing doctrine and rulings from the LaZBoy Throne of Sports Theology on Sundays, the only use one has of Christianity is to name it and claim it. Blab it and grab it.
No more Christian than the various heretics that they don't even know that they are following because they each are busy putting a spin on things and inventing new doctrines each morning.

Fitting; the majority of the Church Fathers were from the East, where Greek was the lingua franca, and anyway until Jerome, the Christian Bible was entirely in Greek.
Unless one believes that Jesus taught in English from the King James AV1611, which the English government so happily wrote for Him.
In the past, when I have complained about the laundered sources, some of which link to “forbidden sitee” I have been ridiculed by the very posters who do it.
I have no respect for any of them, and consider it a blessing when they hate us.
The elevation of Mary to Mother of God says more about Christ than about Mary. They are too ignorant to know Whom they are blaspheming.

Judaism of St. Paul’s era was heavily influenced by Platonism.
Christianity grew out of Hellenistic Judaism rather than Palestianian Judaism.
The fact the New Testament was written in Greek rather than Hebrew should provide a cultural clue.
Being a Christian requires more than being able to read texts. It requires an awful lot of humility.
Spiritual pride is from the Devil.
Saying that we place Mary over Jesus is blasphemous.
Anti-Catholic bigotry IS their religion.
No ...
Placing Mary (or any mere creature) above Jesus is blasphemous.
Saying that we do it is slanderous.

Saying Mary is the Mother of God simply says Christ is one with God the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Mary is always, to Catholics, a created being, human, preserved from the moment of her conception from all stain of sin, redeemed by Christ as the first among humans, to be fit to be His mother.
It should; as well anyone who has studied Church history knows that the early Church resided primarily in Greek controlled areas - Greece, Turkey, what is now Syria, and most of the North African coatal areas. The Septuagint, as you have kindly pointed out, agrees with the Dead Sea scrolls. There are a number of instances in the Bible where the word play only works in the Greek; it does not in either Hebrew or Aramaic.
Oh noes. Does that mean that I cannot self-declare my own salvation and demand that God honour that declaration under legal threat?
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 11:29
The proud and haughty man, scoffer is his name; He worketh in the arrogance of pride.
Proverbs 21:24
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
1 John 1:8-10
Evangelicals choose to model their understanding of Judaism on 21st century Orthodox Judaism, which split with Temple-era Judaism 21 centuries ago.
That's just goofy...
There is no honor of Mary which God has not made possible and ordained when He chose her over all women throughout all of time, past, present and future, to bear to the world its Savior.
And that's even goofier...
God did not choose the time for becoming manifest in the flesh based on the birth and life of Mary...You're glorifying the wrong person here...
Never ending...You guys ever have thoughts of your own??? Post a link...Post a link...
HaHaHa...Sorry, but you'll never successfully link the Holy Scriptures with the likes of Plato or Aristotle...
The bible is not a book of philosophy...That's a human machination...
If you’re trying to convince non-Catholics, you’re doing an absolutely terrible job of it.
Comments like that are why Catholics are looked on so poorly by so many. Thankfully, I know they’re not all like you.
The majority of your church fathers were from the South...South of Israel in the continent of Africa...
and anyway until Jerome, the Christian Bible was entirely in Greek.
The real bible was in Hebrew and Greek...And then Syriac and the Old Latin...And then Jerome's 'new' Latin...
I've looked all over my bible for something that supports that, but it's not to be found...
We have choice but to file that under Greek (Catholic) mythology, do we???
