I’m not interested in a Catholic ‘Monarchy’. It’s a complete fantasy. We Catholics are humans, like adherents of any other faith tradition, and subject to the same weaknesses and sinfulness. Just because someone is a Catholic doesn’t mean he or she would make an inherently better king or ruler of any sort.
Neither am I. But it plays an integral role in a very large 2000 year old body of Catholic prophecy. So I find it hard to ignore, and at least it helps me understand my brothers in the Faith who ARE interested in a Catholic Monarchy.
Its a complete fantasy.
That remains to be seen. Some folks whose opinion I respect think the "Catholic Monarchy" prophecies were provisional prophecies that were not fulfilled and whose time has long past, and that all that remains to us is the imminent reign of Anti-Christ and the Second Coming.
But for those who believe the prophecies of Fatima, which foretold the conversion of Russia and a period of Peace, and Akita and those of Blessed Elena Aiello, which foretold a coming chastisement, it would seem there will be a time frame intervening between our present world chaos/crises and the End.
