There is nothing intrinsic to Christian theology that favors either form of government over the other, despite what many may claim of late (i.e., the last several centuries). Personally, I prefer a Republic. If God has other plans, so be it, as long as there is a Christian restoration.
It sounds like you accept "messy" slavery as long as the media tells you that slavery is "freedom." You would have felt at home in the Soviet Union because the media there said the exact same thing. Facing reality is double-plus ungood.
I, and no other free man, will be RULED. We can be governed by fellow citizens appointed to a limited role for a limited term.
Only servile bootlickers would prefer a Monarchy and being RULED.
History is not on your side.
Neither will the future be.
Thank God that the mindset of servile Monarchist bootlickers is anathema to the American spirit.
I suggest you expand your horizons and look to what Natural Rights mankind has, and what system is best in recognizing them.
No Monarchy has ever been a friend to individual liberty, freedom of conscience, freedom of speech, or pretty much freedom of any type.
That is why to advocate Monarchy is to be a servile anti-American boot licker.
You didn’t answer my question, Rash, where did the Roman ecclesiatical-monarchial system originate? If it wasn’t Constantine, then when? All you did was go on and on about events that happened hundreds of years after the fact.
“The Protestant revolt against Christianity”
No, my friend, it wasn’t a revolt against Christianity, not true Christianity andyways, it was a revolt against an ecclesiatical tyrannical monster (beast if you please) that called itself Christianity.
As to the blather about the life styles of some Protestants, are you sure you want to go there? Dare I mention your pedophile leadership?
I have been around for awhile, most Catholics I’ve known lived much more sinful lives than most Protestants I’ve known. We’re speaking in generalities here. We are not a monolithic thing outside of your institution, you know.
The form of government you advocate has little to differentiate it from the old Soviet Union. Absolute power in the hands of one man - the power of life and death.
What a delusional bootlicking fantasy! That an advocate of Republicanism and for American ideals of liberty is more akin to the Soviet Union than a Monarchist! Please pass whatever it is you are smoking to the fleabag to your left, you have apparently had enough!
AMEN. And doesn’t THIS open a whole new can of worms for the wafer crowd?
Brave words. Let me know how that works out for you next April 15th. One third of our "free" babies are snuffed out by the ongoing abortion holocaust. Those who survive are indentured to a lifetime servicing an unpayable debt to the ruling elite while the elite media keeps trying to convince them they are free. If you ever turn off the TV, you will no longer be blissfully content in your servitude.
I haven't had a TV in almost ten years.
OMG! I have to pay taxes? Taxes determined by elected representatives rather than the say so of one Monarch? Yeah, no Monarch ever collected TAXES!!!/s
Your raving anti-Americanism is showing, try to be less of a bootlicking Monarchist. :)
I prefer God-fearing government to God-hating government. It is that simple. I would be happy with a God-fearing republic, if that were possible.
Wow, allmendream, your posts really are inspiring. Reading them I feel like I have been transported back in time to the founding days of this Republic.
I can almost imagine our forefathers making the identical arguments that you make against the Catholic-Monarchists that tried to drag the European system over here from across the Atlantic. IT DOESN’T BELONG HERE.
Very good arguments you make. History really does repeat itself it seems.
What about the ongoing holocaust of abortion? You are anti-American for accepting the “messy” murder of one-third of America’s babies. That is literally killing our future and freedom.
It is the concept of Monarchy that is on the decline, destined hopefully for the dust bin of history.
Thomas Jefferson sounded the first note of the battle cry that eventually sounded the death knell of Monarchy.
Monarchists are just Statists of a different stripe. Little different from Communists or Nazis or Fascists when you come down to it. Either system denies the sovereignty of the individual in favor of the absolute power of the State.
Thanks again.
You think the only way to stop abortion in America is to turn over our individual sovereignty to a Monarch?
Anybody who doesn't advocate doing so is therefore pro-abortion by default?
Does that make any sense to anybody with a brain? No, not asking you - anybody else care to chime in on just how stupid this is?
CONSTANTINE
ATHANASIUS
LUTHER
MELANCHTON
BUGENHAGEN
You can cut and past those into your favorite search engine and after the first half dozen or so screen fulls of links that have been deliberately bolstered to appear early, you'll find some very serious scholars who have studied all those folks and who show that the popular propaganda and lies are just that, propaganda and lies.
Or, enjoy your fantasy. And Luther did revolt against Christianity as it was taught and is taught in the Bible or else Melanchton wouldn't have back-peddled so far and so fast when the well versed in theology and Scripture Emperor Charles V called Luther to explain himself. Luther wouldn't go without Melanchton because he knew he couldn't control either his drinking or his temper without his pal Phil Schwartzerdt along (Phil changed his name to Melanchton because he thought German names were too gouache for educated folks to be burdened with). You'll be hard pressed to find anyone who is Lutheran and not Lutheran in name only who would agree with what Luther taught before Melanchton limited the damage and altered what Luther wrote by, "elaborating on it" and "refining it".
Melanchton also worked very hard, but unsuccessfully, to discredit as forgeries letters Luther wrote wherein he cursed at, and complained about Jonas, Bugenhagen, and Melanchthon over the Augsburg Confession. At the time, anything Luther wrote he would pass out copies of and usually they'd end up published so Melanchton had to just ignore what was in Luther's own hand and substitute what he and others agreed to.
All of the hype about Constantine is overblown.
No, you responded to my point about abortion by saying that Americans voluntarily chose to live under the current set of rules. We did not chose this abortion. It was forced upon us like the current debt and resultant taxation. Yet you find that acceptable. I did not say that monarchy is the only solution, but I did say that we are no longer free. If you believe that we are free, you are delusional.
Two Monarchs come to mind. The Pharoah in Egypt who ordered the killing of male babies. And Herod who did the same. Yeah, right, we can trust the whim of monarchs on the abortion issue.
Do you imagine that Jefferson would defend our current system?
These monarchs were not Catholic but the crimes you mention are trivial and petty compared the ongoing holocaust of one third of American babies.
