and Mt 10:22... "but he that endureth to the end shall be saved."
We have been saved (Eph 2:8), we are being saved (2 Cor 4:16) and we will be saved (1 Cor 15:51).
We are in a process of sanctification from sin. And purgatory is the final sanctification by the blood of the lamb, by the grace of the Holy Spirit -- this purification is done by Christ.
"The Holy Spirit born again part of us certainly has no sin stain on it." == and that is the final purification/purgatory
Indeed the sanctification of the saved is a lifetime process..completed when we see Him
2 Corinthians 3:16-18
16But when one[a] turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. 17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord,are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
1 John 3:2 “Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is”
Sanctification is not a work of men..it is a gift of God ...we can never sanctify ourselves...
