Praying! My pastor, who is 68, just had this surgery last week on both eyes. He’s fine and didn’t miss a beat. You will be just fine as well.

I think you will be fine. Not only that, your vision is going to be so good you’ll see details you never thought possible to see. Best of luck to you!!
Routine and you’ll do fine. I had a cataract removed about 10 yrs ago and you’ll be amazed at the difference in your eyesight once the bandage is taken off a day later. Keep the faith, relax and look for the positive outcome.
I had open heart surgery a little over three years ago. (Everything went well..I'm now doing triathlons)..The Sunday before the surgery..I was in church, and the Archbishop dropped by for a surprise visit to the parish. That's a pretty big deal..After the service, during fellowship hour, my priest brought me inside to meet him, and to receive a blessing...My priest explained to the archbishop about my surgery, and why I was in need of prayers, at which time he smiled, looked at me and said, "perhaps we should also pray for his surgeon."
We all did.....
I think that you will find that the operation is a miracle. You will see much better.
My mum had double cateract surgery in UK...under the National Health...it went OK.
Only problem was when she got back home and could see all the dust and cobwebs ....had me cleaning up her apartment for a week.
Sending prayers your way for a successful surgery and a quick recovery.
Prayers up, Bigg Red. You’ll be fine. Just let Jesus do the driving....
She now sees better than me. 20/40 vision, only because of some residual astigmatism. Eyeglasses will give her better than 20/20. Truly a miracle of modern science.
Be sure and not put your head below your waist for a couple of weeks and follow the meds instructions to the tee. Don't lift anything over 5 lbs and you will be fine.
Prayers up. PS: A couple of months after my mother had this surgery we were talking on the phone, and she said, “When’d I get so wrinkled!? Why didn’t anybody tell me my bathtub wasn’t clean!” LOL! Beware. After the surgery you may notice your spouse is wrinkled, too!! Ha, ha.
You got it.
Prayer on the way. My brother has had cataracs removed from both eyes with no problems. My bible study pastor will be getting the same surgery and I will have it done soon.
“Eye Doctor?”
“No, you patient”
Prayers up
I had cataract surgery to both eyes about 3 1/2 years ago at the tender age of 55. I sprung for the Toric lense replacement at that time and the surgery and lense replacement was and is the best investment I could of made for my eyesight. It’s not perfect vision but I can read, legally drive and do many things without the aid of glasses although they do sharpen my vision. The actual surgery will be very quick-less than a minute or 2 if your guy is as good as mine. The Valium they give you will make it an enjoyable experience. Keeping your mind under control will most likely be your biggest challenge. I may go for a little tune-up to my right eye with the laser at some future time as nothing is knife edge sharp vision with that eye but the fear of going thru anything is gone and yours will be after. You will be surprised at the change, how much brighter the world is and be grateful for modern medicine.
I forgot to add I was among the worlds’ biggest sissies about putting anything in my eyes. Got trained on a new way to put drops in, it’s a piece of cake now and will be for you too Redd.
Prayers coming your way. Be encouraged! One lady I know got 20-20 vision back in one eye after her cataract surgery on that eye!
May The Lord bless you and keep you; May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. |
