Appearances can be deceiving and in this case clearly demonstrate your flawed assumption. Your criteria for "Well Documented" leaves much to be desired and attests to an untrained eye in judging intellectual matters .

Once again it is not sufficient to just include these Church Fathers , one must have the requisite educational skills to interpret these sources which takes rigorous scholastic skills The sources quoted in these threads by your type come from bible schools whose academic standards have been found wanting. Your ilk on this forum merely cut and paste sources from questionable scholastic sources, invariably presented out of context.

I have read enough of these second rate agenda driven sites on the Internet and their published works, to understand their intellectual and spiritual bankruptcy.

You need to immerse yourself in the study of biblical linguists and spend years under scholars to effect an intellectual level which allows for proper discernment. Attending and/or relying on some bible college does not meet this rigorous standard.

As an alternative to in depth study , you need to read objective history which is found in libraries, not some amateur Internet site which purports to present scholarly materials.

Attending a community college would be a start at honing interpretative skills and exposing yourself to scholarly materials to discern fact from fiction, a feat apparently found lacking in your response.

God Bless

And there are some who get really angry if cornered not being able to justify a doctrine from scripture.

They certainly do...Just read the numerous insults which clearly are the result of their inability to defend their beliefs and their religion with scripture...

They even pray to an angel in hopes the angel will fight their battles for them when scripture clearly tells us and them the only weapon available that can fight those battles successfully is the scripture itself...

Wow, you sound very smart. Years and decades immersing yourself, gaining requisite educational skills to interpret sources which takes rigorous scholastic skills, complete with biblical linguists , years under scholars in order to effect an intellectual level for proper discernment, along with mere objective history which comes from libraries. So you can discern fact from fiction, according to scholarly materials.

What is the gospel of your salvation?

I have said that prayer at night then see a black cat on my former NY property taking out the garbage. I then cover the spoken words of" Blood of Christ" over it.

Why would you want to get rid of a cat that takes out your garbage???

And why the superstition with black cats...I've owned black cats...

People wonder if God is trying to tell us something these days. There have been fires, floods, tornadoes, bad hurricanes, bad tropical storms, bad thunderstorms, not to mention earthquakes, volcanoes, financial collapse, wars, terrorism, nuclear disasters, comets, maybe even planet X. Is God saying something? Yes. He is telling us everything we put our trust in this world of ours will fail. He is preparing us for a time similar to the world wide flood of Noah’s day. He is giving us all an ark to climb into. That ark is found through Faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. This security IN Christ will not fail! God’s word says so! God keeps his promises! So if any of us find any need during these times, instead of relying on our own strength which will fail, seek God’s will first. Joy, peace, fearlessness and no worries are possible.

"Reading minds and attributing motives are forms of "making it personal." Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal."

My post #1812 was not an attempt to read minds. Frankly, I don't know how it can be construed to be that.

In that the individual involved has on numerous occasions posted numerous incomplete, out of context, and partial posts of mine, regardless of intent, have only distorted my posting history, my post was entirely accurate.

Good grief, do people not know that the letters were written while Paul was in jail near the END of his life and ministry?

I don’t see anywhere, except for maybe, possibly by a stretch Luke’s writings, that anyone said that they had the idea of writing these things down for posterity, and Luke’s intent was just to inform Theophilus of what was really pretty much widely known.

"And what he can't find he makes up." is reading his mind and attributing motive to him.

If you had said "Some of his recollections about my posts have no basis in fact" then it would not be "making it personal" because you would be expressing your own mind and not his.

Some people do not seem to know that "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.." 2 Tim. 3:16,17.

They seem to forget that it is GOD'S TIMING ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSES that the Scriptures are inspired by Him.

If it was written in 67 A.D. that's when it was inspired by God to Paul to be written.

Just another important point overlooked by those who scrap the word of God for doctrines of men.

Article 4,Question 76,Tertia Pars, Summa Theologiae:

"Hence it remains that Christ's body is not in this sacrament as in a place, ..."
"Hence in no way is Christ's body locally in this sacrament. "

Therefore to adore Christ sacramentally is in no way saying,"Lo, here is Christ,..."
Therefore your remark is irrelevant.

But, we do not say a plane has two co-pilots, but one pilot and one co-pilot. There the co-pilot is understood to be inferior. Where there are two co-owners, BOTH are co-owners, and the sense of "co-" includes a sense of equality (the thing being examined.)

But where there is a pilot and a co-pilot then the sense is one of inferior cooperation. The constant in both cases is "with" as I said and as I was attacked for saying.

The co-pilot is interesting because I remember a book and then a bumper sticker which said,"God is my co-pilot." Later somebody produced a sticker saying, "God's the pilot. I'm just the co-pilot."

So there the sense of "co-" was clearly one of inferiority.

Nope...I said showing up on earth...We during the Rapture are heading up, well above the earth to meet Jesus...

False distinction and an example of a secondary hypothesis being invoked to rescue a failed primary hypothesis. There is a single Day of the Lord, a single parousia, visible to all, believer and unbeliever alike, and that day marks the end of everything.

I see protestantism as a rudderless ship with no captain at the wheel. I believe they are sincere in their beliefs but I am happiest in the Barque of Peter as I see it as the vessel of calm in the stormy sea of faith and life.

That's because we have a different Captain than you catholics do...We don't have a pope...All we have is Jesus to guide us...

If you had read the selection from Matthew you posted, you would have seen Jesus's repudiation of the secret, seen by Christian's only, pre-trib rapture. He explicitly warned that those who preach such a restrictive, localized, secret return were no agents of his.

And the Holy Spirit.

John 16:12-14 12"I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

MD, you're drifting away here.

Actually, I think,no offense, that you are drifting.

I said that "co-" meant "with," and was roundly attacked for the usual things. Since then I have been working on the sense of "co-".

I think we have showwn that in some cases the prefix carries a sense of equality while in the case of co-pilot it carries a sense of inferiority. The SIGN of the difference is that BOTH are co-authors, but one of the pilots is not "co-"anything. (Okay, maybe co-dependent.) So in once case, equal status, in another, unequal status. And the sense that survives in both uses is the sense of "with," the very thing which was disputed.

I donot claim to have shown that Mary is rightly called coredemptrix, so saying Ihave failed or that the word is applies wrongly is not relevant to this tiny section of the field.

HERE the accusation was that by use of the word we necessarily were implying equality, and that to claim that 'co-' had any sense other than equality was specious and disingenuous or ignorant.

Now that we have shown that that is not true,we can go back to other questions. But let's not confuse the issue.

The issue was, whether "co-" could carry a sense of inferiority. Your objection WAS that I had dug the trench in the wrong place. We found I had dug it correctly and your saying the first objection was right because I haven't laid the pipe.

So I have to go to all this tedious length to remind you that the installation of the pipe has nothing to do with whether the trench is good.

>>Here's a hint that may just be what you are looking for, the term "Baby Boomers" is speaking of the generation born after the end of WWII.<<

If the “Baby Boomers” generation ended 20 – 25 years after they were born and has passed. The fact is that the generation of “Baby Boomers” will not pass until all of that generation has passed from this world. The debate on the length of a generation in scripture could go on forever and has.

There are three ways the word generation is used in scripture.

1. It can be used to denote a physical family generation.
2. It can be used to denote the spiritual family or generation of evil.

3. And it can be used to denote the spiritual family or generation of Christ.

The length of a generation that we are discussing is the family

When looking at that use of the word generation we have an example in Deuteronomy as it pertains to those who were not allowed to enter the Promised Land. Deuteronomy 2:14 And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them.

It took 38 years for the generation of those men of war to die off. Notice they were “men of war” prior to those 38 years. They had not just been born when Moses lead them into the wilderness.

Then look at Numbers 14 to see how old those “men of war” were when they entered the wilderness.

Numbers 14:29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me.

So we see that those men were at least 20 years old when the entered the wilderness and it took another 38 years for that generation to be gone. So the length of that generation was at least 58 years.

Your example speaks of when those generations were born. Just as in the example of the generation spoken of during the time in the wilderness, the generation of those people does not end until all have passed.

Except that He doesn’t “return” to earth at the rapture. We leave to meet Him in the air. There is no “localized” and won’t be secret. All who are called away will know as well as all left on earth. The missing people will not go unnoticed though the reason may be denied by most. Don’t confuse the two.
