but that is not what Mr R said -- they believed in God and God saved them. He never said that they were saved by their own actions, nor that they deserved it. They accept God's grace and God's hand and GOD does the saving. We do not deserve it, but God freely offers this salvation to all, we just have to say yes. We are drowning men and women and God throws us a saving ring, He even tosses it exactly over our head and it's got lots of grips -- we just gotta hold on (in fact we do less than this).
