To me it seems a very long and unsuccessful leap in logic.
Others are like you and are still stuck in the 17th century with your narrow intolerant dogmas.

So, Salvation by grace is a ‘narrow intolerant dogma’??? LOL, that would be funny if it weren’t so sad.
read ALL my posts and educate yourself.
BTW, many mormons have questions about Reids true faith, given his long record of voting against the beliefs of the church; thats one of the reasons cited for why he wasnt winning the Mormon vote. Mormons are no more likely to vote for a mormon in name only
- - - - -
Active Mormons (faithful) have no such illusions. Reid got a standing ovation at BYU when he spoke about how his LDS faith was the reason he voted as he did. He doesn’t vote against the teachings of the LDS church at all.
Also, faithful LDS know he is not a Mormon in name only, he does his home teaching, has callings, attends all services, has a temple recommend, which a MINO would never have or do.
Knowing Mormon culture as I do, exit polling data or not, the LDS will always vote for a Mormon over a non Mormon. I know no Mormon in NV who voted for Angle (and I know about 60 of them).
There is a freeper who wrote a book on Harry Reid and his Mormon connections in NV. Perhaps they could give you the numbers. I pinged some of the Flying Inamans who may also have the numbers handy.
Hey olofob, I read your stuff- and I got a real education of how you are eager to support Romney as soon as he wins a primary...
I don’t believe that post was addressed to you.
But now I am curious, why did it make you uncomfortable and provoke an irrational response?
- - - -
You posted it in an open forum, if you did not desire or expect a response from someone else than you should not have posted in an open forum but rather freepmail. When posting in open forum anyone can respond to any post.
You agreed with a poster calling me a bigot. Most people would not be happy with that. My response was not irrational. I asked you on what basis did you, in essence, call me a bigot. I stated my reasons for posting on these threads and my background, yet you incorrectly call me irrational.
And you did not answer my question. Are you LDS? If so, then you still have no call to agree that we are ‘bigots’. If not, then you should refrain from speaking on things you know nothing about. Either way, I guarantee I know more about Mormonism than you ever will.
Capice?
You implied that Ansel said Catholics were not Christians. And it is proper FR Etiquette to ping a person when you mention them.
Thanks Ansel. Amazing isn’t it. Although I’m betting no response on the question.
I would like to know the breakdown for Reid vs Angle as far as the LDS vote too. I tried to find it a few times, couldn’t find anything. I am suprised it isn’t out there considering all the speculation about what the LDS vote would be prior to the election.
Freegards
I never would. I know too much about them to ever put any one of them in a position of trust.
Experience teaches a person things.
But I guess I could just keep posting actual links to actual articles that actually discussed whether Mormons were voting for Reid or Angle in the election last November. God knows facts can't stand up to what "you know", but anyway....
Angle's Mormon Ally: Harry Reid trampled on the LDS church:
"According to The Former Bishop, Reid has proven that he may pray like a Mormon but he does not vote like one."But you must know more than the guy the Sharon Angle campaign used to answer questions about Reid and Mormonism.
...
Reid, then Senate Minority Leader, voted against having a debate on a same sex marriage ban
...
the Former Bishop felt that it was Reids opposition to a federal same-sex marriage bill that ignited the Mormon church of Nevada to champion Californias Proposition 8, the amendment to that states constitution to ban gay-marriage.
...
The relationship between the Mormon Church and Senator Reid has "diminished," because Reid has repeatedly, according to The Former Bishop, failed to serve as a Mormon "watchdog" over Democratic policy-making: Why should we put someone in office who doesnt actually represent our views?"
How about: Mormon Vote a Factor...:
But it is Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid , himself a Mormon, who is facing the tough questions from members of the faith.Oh, but that can't be right, because you said the Mormons were cheering Reid, so how could this factual news story about him being booed exist? That was apparent the moment he walked into a meeting of the Mormon Business Associates networking group in August. Members, angry with his liberal policies, peppered Reid with questions about immigration and gay marriage. They booed him, according to people who were there, and shouted catcalls.
Rallying the Mormon base won't be easy for Reid, despite his shared religion. Reid has an uneasy, sometimes contentious relationship with some members of his church. An appearance by Reid at a Mormon chapel this year had to be canceled after members expressed anger over him potentially using the venue to gather votes.Oh, but how can that be, when you say that the "faithful LDS" know better -- who are the these unfaithful LDS people being discussed in the Deseret News?
"I don't think there's this big hate from the members toward Harry," said Cory Christensen, a Republican political consultant and LDS member whose brother Chad ran for Senate in the Republican primary. "Most people I know just disagree with him philosophically on real issues ... Some folks who are more his age that he grew up with will support him. But I don't know anyone under age 50 who say they're with Harry."That's odd, because you said you know 60 LDS people who all voted for Harry (I'm pretty friendly to mormons and I only have two Mormon friends), but here's an actual LDS member who lives IN Nevada and he says he doesn't know anybody who is supporting Harry Reid. Odd.
Well, then there was the actual freerepublic thread which discussed the Las Vegas Review's version of the same story, where we had azcap, a freeper from Nevada, making this statement: have a lot of Mormon friends in Vegas and I dont know a single one who will vote for Harry Reid. Reid would be better off converting to the Nation of Islam. Maybe he could shore up his waning urban vote.
So, why should I believe what you say, over what some other freeper says?
There were other comments in that thread from other people who made the same statements, that Reid was no longer seen as a good Mormon, and that Mormons would be more likely to support Sharon Angle.
There are of course lots of articles about how Angle's former pastor's comments about Mormons would help Reid. But those articles mostly told how Mormons didn't want to vote for Reid, but might be forced to just because of the anti-Mormon bias of Angle's former pastor (Angle did a good job of distancing herself from that flap, so I don't think it made that big a difference).
Here is a post-election article which discusses why Harry Reid won -- and it doesn't say a single word about "winning the Mormon vote".
So I put to you the challenge -- I can't find any evidence that Reid won more Mormon votes than Angle. But I'm willing to be shown to be wrong, just post an actual fact, with a reference, showing that Mormons voted more for Reid than Angle.
I've posted almost a half-dozen articles which refute claims you made that you gave no references for. I've shown that before the election, Mormons were supporting Angle, and turning against Reid. I've shown exit polling which indicated that Reid won amongst groups that would likely be non-Mormon, and that the groups that would correlate with Mormons were Angle supporters (unfortunately, that exit poll didn't ask about religion).
People keep asserting that Reid won the Mormon vote, but nobody has shown ANY evidence to back up that claim. I'm just asking for that evidence. All I'm getting is "of course they did, he's Mormon", as if just saying it makes it true.
You are kidding, right? Ansel isn’t the one guilty of outburts and vile attacks, you are. Not just on this thread, but on several others when I checked your posting history.
If you aren’t Mormon then why do you defend them to the point of calling me names or agreeing with those who do? Why defend something you know nothing about? Doesn’t make sense.
I stand by that post.

So you do stand by calling me and others ‘bigots’ and ‘skinheads’ when all we are doing is defending our faith, telling the truth and warning others about an anti-Christian cult.
BTW, the ‘antis’ on here, the Flying Inmans as they are called, are members of all Christian churches, Catholic, protestant, Orthodox. So yeah, I agree with Ansel that your agreement of attack is on Christian of all religious denominations...
I hope you reported them to the Mods.

Hoping to get your posts pulled because of your embarrassment of them?
We are a lot more thick skinned than most of the trolls here expect.
Good collection of quotes, Nana. :)
