PLEASE PRAY FOR CHIEF ENGINEER WHO UNDERWENT SURGERY AT THE HUNTSMAN HOSPITAL in Salt Lake AT 9;45 am today to remove his voice box which cancer had spread and replace the voice box with an artificial one.
He believes he will be home in two weeks while Mrs Chief believes he will begin speech therapy and learn how to eat again. He has not been able to speak at all since this past April and hasn’t been able to eat since last year having had a feeding tube and using a special dose of Glucerna.
Many prayers for healing and comfort.
God Bless you and keep Chief Engineer and Mrs. Chief Engineer in His Loving Care.

Thank-you so much for posting this for me to send to The Chief once he is fully conscious from surgery and feeling well enough he will read through each and every post and silently thank each and every one of you blessed Freepers. This is Mrs Chief who as Starwise mentioned has many ongoing health issues after following rules and telling the truth, only to be told to go back to Canada where I faced abuse and persecution daily for three years from my own mother and middle sister. I also lost half an arm and didn’t receive proper treatment for the type of cancer I had, I got chemo only when radiation is the only thing which would have killed the HR 2 positive cancer that is spreading throught my body. I pray daily for some type of miracle and just discovered that my father’s parents were both American meaning he too was American and didn’t know it. I would love to know what nationality I am since I was born on a NATO base in Germany and the doctor who signed my birth certificate was U.S. military. Nationality comes from the father not the mother. I apologise for hijacking the thread it has been a very long night with two hours of sleep and a lot of prayer and pain. Once again Starwise I do thank-you for posting and hope you accept my apology for the hijack it was not meant purposely just curiosity. I love The Chief dearly and want him home safe, sound and healthy, able to eat and talk. Our feelings are mutual. Thank-you Freepers one and all, you are the best people in the World from Mrs Chief Engineer!

Oh, prayers up for you. That must be hard, but lets hope this heals him and he stays well.
I’m going in for a removal of a suspicious thingy myself next week. But I think I’ll be fine.
But I will pray for both of you. As I am slowly ascending the ladder of years, I’ve never seen so much cancer around. Here’s a link to a Dave Wilkerson devotion that coincidentally came out the day I found out I was facing the evil thing myself, and really helped me.

It also came out on the day of his death, so it seems almost like a prophecy.

Update at 6:41 pm: My step son just phoned from the parking garage at the Huntsman, his dad, The Chief was just moved to Recovery from surgery and it is doubted that he will even remember anything about today. It is doubtful he will be cognizant until a few days from now. The step son wants to see his father after he is moved to his room and to be able to bring him his belongings (including his computer so he may read the prayer thread the url which I sent him earlier to his email) After that his step son will see him settled and then figure out what he will do as it is too expensive for him to stay in Salt Lake. Money is in short supply for both families since the step son was tboned in an accident and has lost some of the use of both arms and can no longer work as an ironworker at INL because of the accident. We are trying to help but with not much ourselves it hasn’t been easy. I just keep praying for a solution because the step son cannot drive to Salt Lake daily, the price of gas alone would bankrupt him. Continued prayer is indeed a blessing from the greatest people on this earth and The Chief and I, Mrs Chief Thank all of you, most especially Starwise for posting for me!
