A US religious figure whose father advised several US presidents said in a interview to be broadcast Sunday that he may back real estate tycoon Donald Trump's 2012 bid for the White House.

Reverend Franklin Graham also told ABC television that he doubted former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin would join the field of candidates aiming to unseat President Barack Obama....

Asked whether Trump might be his preferred candidate, Graham told ABC's "This Week" program: "Sure, yes."

"When I first saw that he was getting in, I thought, well, this has got to be a joke," ABC quoted Graham as saying. "But the more you listen to him, the more you say to yourself, you know, maybe this guy's right."

The flamboyant businessman has attacked Obama repeatedly in recent weeks -- notably repeating the debunked claim that the president was not born in the United States -- and suggested he could make a White House run....

Aw Franklin! Did you learn nothing from your father’s mistakes?

On what does he base his opinion that Sarah isn’t running? I think he should refrain from comment until it’s for sure.

"But the more you listen to him, the more you say to yourself, you know, maybe this guy's right."

Which is precisely what the comb-over con man wants people to think. I'm sorry, but Trump is so full of himself and such an attention whore I really don't trust his as far as I could throw an Abrams tank.

We need a conservative in the White House, not an opportunistic chameleon. It astounds me that Mr. Trump has any following at all. Thought conservatives were wiser than that.

We need a FISCAL person in the white house first, and someone who can beat Obama. Priority one for this nation is to get Obama the hell out of the white house.

I dont see any republican so far who has expressed interest in running that is up to the job. Trump, if he is serious, can be the strongest contender.

With all due respect to Sarah Palin who is a good person and a true American Patriot she is probably not going to run.

It appears that The Donald is going to run. If we don’t see anybody else that comes out strong he is going to suck all the air out of the room and he will win the GOP nomination. He can probably beat the snot out of Soetoro in a 2 man race because he will peel off a lot of Dems and a boat load of Independents.

At the moment I am enjoying watching Trump lob grenades at Barry on a daily basis.

Wish Trump was a little more humble and given more to faith in God. Then I could support him without reserve.

He isn't running for Pope, he would be running for president. He isn't perfect, nor am I. I love Franklin Graham. Much more so than his dad, whom I never was impressed with.

I thought Trump was divorced. This surprises me.

This is nonsense. No where did Graham say Trump was his choice. Ask if Trump MIGHT be his preferred candidate, he said “sure”, but that is MIGHT, not WAS. Compared to Obama, Trump would be MY preferred candidate, but he isn’t my first choice, not by a long shot.

DITTO. If Sarah doesn’t run and Trump is the nominee, I’ll vote for him. I know Mark Levin doesn’t like him, but, right now the other choices are worse.
