FOR the past 15 years, she has been Kabbalahs most high profile and dedicated follower. But now Madonna has apparently ditched the controversial faith and taken up with Opus Dei the secretive Catholic sect made famous in The Da Vinci Code. The singer is said to be intrigued by the organisation and spent Friday with priests from the centres London HQ. The move follows her alleged falling out with some Kabbalah leaders after reports that cash raised for her Malawi charity was squandered. Last night a source claimed: She has invested so much into Kabbalah so she was devastated by these damning accusations. She has started exploring different religions. Madonna has always been intrigued by Opus Dei. As yet, shes not a fully paid-up member shes just had informal chats.

Wouldn’t it be something if she renounced her former life and devoted herself to the Church...that would blow some minds.
Sounds like all the wrong motivations.
when she joins the Westboro Baptists, that’ll be news...
She’ll be a Scientologist when it’s all said and done.
How much do I have to pay to be a believer? Bills, bills, bills.
I thought the Kaballah was somehow related to Scientology
Neither has ability to adhere to coherent value system based on reason.
Both act out of momentary necessity.
Does she realize Opus Dei is very conservative?

She’s hopping from one cult to the next because there isn’t a single man she hasn’t screwed yet. Either that or there aren’t any left who would want to. Either way, as talentless whores go, she’s now a bag lady.
Kaballah is Jewish mysticism. Not sure what the Hollywood version was but sure it was b.s. There were stories on it being a money racket five years ago.
Scientology is unrelated. L. Ron Hubbard, the science fiction writer, started his own religion. E-Meters and Xenu. Paul Haggis wrote an article bashing it a couple months ago. He was upset it regards homosexuality is a mental illness as his daughters are gay. Plus he won his Oscar and didn’t need it for the business connections.
Agee. By age 75 Madonna will be going to Catholic mass and repenting of her wild past.
Well, the problem is most of us Catholics don’t really want her. I know, I know, God forgives sinners, even the worst and her forgiveness is between her and God. However, the RCIA needs to be done for her again and also, she’s way too flighty on religious matters for me to welcome a repentant person. But, then I would have been among those doubting Alice Cooper when he became Christian and look at him now (ok, don’t look, but read about his Christian life!)
Can’t believe FR missed this one. I always said Madonna would return to the Catholic faith before it was all said and done. We’ll see. “ ==================
Wouldn’t that be something if she did. I deplore much of her behavior, of course, but have always felt sorry for her.
Lost can not be a good place to be no matter her incredible wealth. Opus Dei is quite a swing to a modest lifestyle and behavior.
Dear sir, I respectfully say that you perjure the extremely impoverished by comparing them to the like of Madonna. The rich who have lost their sense of "grounding" are like butterflies who have everything and yet nothing.
One cannot be loved by the world and love GOD at the same time.
She can only server one master.
Hollywood resident here, and I could tell you right now that almost every WHITE person in the city is a Scientologist. I was invited to the Sunset Blvd “church” on the Saturday “mass” and there it was. Then another guy told me weeks later it is because if you are a minority, you will join up with the same kind. I guess it’s true..L.A. is pretty much Tijuana in the most parts.
>Does she realize Opus Dei is very conservative?
Nah, probably learned about Opus Dei from the da Vinci Code movie.
