Great insight!
Which is the flip-side of the "self-inflicted suffering" issue in the RCC -- that the more one inflicts suffering on oneself, the closer one is to God. Thus suffering by abstaining from sex is a positive response to the Gospel, according to the RCC, which is a lie.
I just found out that the new head of the Los Angeles archdiocese, bishop Gomez, is opus dei. Wonder if he flagellates himself daily?
All bible-believing Christians hold the Scriptures as our final authority and our only rule for faith and practice.
Oh, that is TOO hilarious! Way to go, I didn't think anyone could make such a great joke on this miserable thread! That is a PERFECT imitation of a stiff-necked unChristian holier than thou Church Lady! Thanks, I appreciate the humor!
HILLAIOUS!!!
“Here is a handy web page I just found...”
Eckleburg uses a BAPTISTS website while this is what the OPC which Eckleburg is btw, believes about Baptists!
“Question and Answer
Baptists and the OPC
Question:
Is it a general practice for OPC ministers to make strong comments concerning believers’ baptism and the folly of the Baptist denomination?
Answer:
Orthodox Presbyterians, especially ministers and elders, strongly disagree with Baptists on their view of baptism, though they recognize sincere Baptists as brothers and sisters in Christ. One thing we don’t hear from our pulpits is tirades against Baptists and their doctrine of “believers’ baptism.” It does no good to our concerns for brotherly love among believers and grieves those who might have friends or relatives who are Baptists.”

. . . moral integrity LEFT in the Vatican Cult Of the Ishtar Stand-in Goddess???
Where did they buy a few trainloads to begin with?
Did I miss something?
Luk 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Luk 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Have you noticed that Dr. Eckleburg invariably uses websites for her arguments that are anti-Catholic or that show Catholics as evil? I have.
It doesn’t seem to matter if they are consistent with her OPC cult or not, as long as they are anti-Catholic.
So, when I wonder who is behind some of the posters here, egging them on, tempting them to trash our Church, I see that every protestant church is grist for the mill, as long as it goes against the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
Luke 2:
49 And he said to them, "Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?"
50 But they did not understand what he said to them.
Truth occasionally hurts.
However, lies from the agents of the idolatrous, blasphemous Vatican Cult of the Ishtar Stand-in Goddess are sad and often laughable.
They don’t have enough validity or point to hurt.
Excellent.
Thanks.
Will have to archive it when i get home.
Wow! So much hate here and during Holy Week?
“Why do you look at the twig in your brother’s eye, but you do not feel the beam in your own eye? Hypocrite, first remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see how to remove the twig from your brother’s eye.”
I may not be a theologian but I’m pretty sure hatred for fellow Christians qualifies as a beam.
Very well put.
Hmmmmm.
May have to check into that one.
Goodness . . .
did a rare yearly flash of insight and reality hit the RC’s upside their collective perspectives?
amazing.
Quix, can you provide us with an example of one of your long rants with the “stations of the white hanky?”
The "website" didn't show us anything other than the Scriptural distinctions between Rome and the Bible.
But as we've seen for years, any Scripture that denies Rome's errors is tagged "anti-Catholic."
How sad it is to see a spiritual baby in an adult body.. the lack of growth is directly related to not even having milk ... so they can grow enough to desire meat..
Hbr 5:13 For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Hbr 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Well, there was Peter Damian about a thousand years ago who was condemning the homosexual problem amongst the priests of the Catholic church in his day.
So there was SOME integrity in the Catholic church at that time. He was Catholic.
And there are a few, too few, FRoman Catholics who outright denounce and condemn the abuse problem and the inept dealing with it in the Catholic church today.

Yes.
I’m sure I could.
If I had nothing better to do.
