I said “I don’t think so - it would have made more sense (facts, free of errors, etc.) if Satan had given him real visions. The errors, his past history with seers stones, etc. seem to indicate to me that he just made it up. But Satan sure has been able to use his story.”

How hard of a 'miracle' would it be for SATAN to produce some Golden Plates?

Joseph Smith's delving into the occult (Freemasonry,divination, etc.) is likely the very thing that opened him up to demonic influence. This is why the Scriptures warn against messing with that kind of stuff.
