First, if people will not rely on the Holy Ghost, that’s to their detriment. That’s not an issue. The Holy Ghost is one of the Trinity. And as for the Book of Mormon unlocking and clarifying passages of the Bible, that is the Holy Ghost’s work. If one doesn’t shun Him, one will succeed. These were assemble by Constantine clergy as well in 325 AD decided on the definition of the Trinity after a vigorous debate and doing a scorch earth on those they disagreed with.
BTW there are record down through the ages where much of the orignail doctrine they decided on in 325 AD had been modifired to suit the politcal climate of its day.
