Geographically yes (though I won’t accept that for the case of Turkey - that little plot of land they hold bordering Greece don’t mean squat to me) but so are Mexico and Venezuela American countries. Doesn’t give them a seat on the USSC.

I was thinking along the lines of political demarcations. Guess I’ll have to take a closer look at the ECHR purview.

As for crucifixes in US schools: right way up or upside down?...;-)
