If by “do you pray to the Holy Spirit” you mean do I talk to Him, asking Him to be patient with me as I try to hear His guidance and thanking Him for reminding me of Christ’s atonement, then yes, I’d say you’d be correct in saying that I pray to the Holy Spirit.
Does that somehow bother you? Does it bother you that I would be grateful for and to the third Person of the Trinity? Afterall, we’re told that we’re sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption, shouldn’t I be thankful to He which is sealing me?
As for worrying about what a bunch of Calvinists think of me, why should I? If I’m saved, then by their own beliefs they have no authority to challenge it or call me damned. If I’m not, according to them, there’s nothing I can do anyway so what is their concern to me? Sounds to me like sour grapes on their part, honestly.
So do I! And the Holy Spirit, God is very patient to hear us out!
Does that somehow bother you? -- Not at all, in fact I'm pleased to hear from a fellow believer
Does it bother you that I would be grateful for and to the third Person of the Trinity? Not at all -- I'm not a Presbyterian like Dr. Eckleburg or Gamecock -- what I posted above is that Presbyterians believe it is heresy to pray to anyone other than God the Father. Thank the Holy Spirit I'm not a Presbyterian!
shouldnt I be thankful to He which is sealing me? -- yes, we should all be thankful to God.
If Im not, according to them, theres nothing I can do anyway so what is their concern to me? -- good point, for some reason I had thought you were a PCA/OPC follower, but I was wrong, I apologize for that.
