Exactly the point. The various Christian Churches that emerged during the Reformation are united not by organization, but by Faith. It is the same way that prior to the emergence of a state church that Christian Churches were united.
“The various Christian Churches that emerged during the Reformation are united not by organization, but by Faith.”
Right. They allow or embrace divorce, contraception, women clergy, queer clergy and more. United. In filth and sin.
"For the love of Christ constraineth us: because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead; And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh, yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation: To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
NOW then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us; we pray you in Christ stead, be ye reconciled to God.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." 2 Cor. 5:14-21.
That is FAITH, friend. Not state organized religion. With its do's and don'ts and fear and superstition, and traditions and doctrines of men.
Only those committed to the degradation of Christ's finished work on our behalf would have the gaul to decide there is another way and they have the power to impress God.
True simple faith in Calvary has always existed, alongside the false teaching that there is another way. One is united by faith in Christ's finished work alone and the other is united in faith in the Church to save them.
