Exactly, wm. It was faith in the finished work of Christ that united Christian Churches prior to the state-run organized religion of salvation through the Church. It was the GREATER commission given to each believer that sustained the various Christian Churches.

"For the love of Christ constraineth us: because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead; And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh, yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation: To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

NOW then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us; we pray you in Christ stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." 2 Cor. 5:14-21.

That is FAITH, friend. Not state organized religion. With its do's and don'ts and fear and superstition, and traditions and doctrines of men.

Only those committed to the degradation of Christ's finished work on our behalf would have the gaul to decide there is another way and they have the power to impress God.

True simple faith in Calvary has always existed, alongside the false teaching that there is another way. One is united by faith in Christ's finished work alone and the other is united in faith in the Church to save them.

I think that is one of the most beautiful scriptures in God's word. It also tells us of the blasphemy of the RCC mass.

"Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh, yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more". Every time mass is performed and Christ is 'turned into flesh and blood' this scripture is denied. We are now spiritually seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. And we do NOT know Him after the flesh any longer. And yet the RCC continues on, 'turning' the wafers and the wine into the 'flesh and blood' of Christ.
