:)
And I had one at least who was a sheep thief...
He went to prison once for stealing 34 sheep...
Herding sheep is just about as bad as herding cats...
he must have had a good sheep dog
:)
I don’t know, I asked but was told since I’m not a Catholic (sounds like mind reading to me) I shouldn’t “occupy” myself with such questions.
Perhaps Verdugo will explain these “details”? But I’ll give it a go if you wish. The following is likely the answers (in brief) you will get:
1. yes
2. yes
3. no
4. we do.
Oh this is an old thread...
I answered your comment about your hoss thievin ancestor when this was first posted...
:)
Which should all be the wrong answers, but no doubt Catholics will not be able to follow the logic of that either.
lol.
Optimist.
Did you ever ask yourself if any of this posting had crossed a line. When I posed the possibility that this might have, by merely substituting the word Catholic with the names of some other groups, none of them offensive or derogatory, the moderator saw fit to remove it. Why? Obviously because that type of vitriol directed toward any other group is offensive. Why was your post directing it toward Catholics left? I'm waiting for you or the mod to tell me.
Hmmm....Does sorry work for all cases of excommunication? Yes, except in cases where it doesn’t.
As an example, if a poster said "Buddhists are stupid" that would be acceptable in "open" Religion Forum debate. But if he said "[insert a race] are stupid" it would violate the Free Republic ban on racist remarks.
I didn’t know the RM answered to you.
Learn something new every day, I suppose.
You are very patient and courteous.
Thank you.
Do you not see the absurdity of asking me the rationale of why someone else did something?
Not to mention that if your post is removed, I can’t see it to know what it said that would give me a clue as to why it was removed.
Nor do I know to which removed post of yours, you were referring.
Try to be more specific next time.
We don't know what we don't know, and the vast majority of poorly catechized, lazy and worldly Catholics aren't aware that there's anything wrong. It is near impossible to evangelize people who already think they're fine just as they are, that they know the Faith.
For the last 50+ years, Catholics themselves have not taught Catholicism to their children. They've been taught American Catholicism which is a watered down blend of sentimentalism, political correctness, community activism and utilitarianism. The next generation has drawn the obvious conclusion that you don't need to go to Mass to do all that. You can feel good about yourself much more effectively with a good book from the self help shelf, by attending a personal development seminar, or by reading the bible.
The Apostles knew their targets were pagans and the pagans knew they weren't Christians. Today, we're dealing with American Catholics who are pagan, but who think they're 'good Christians.'
There are scarcely any real Catholics today who LIVE the faith. Just look around and see if you can find yourself one Catholic with a large family (contraception is a mortal sin of the worst order).
Why did you respond to my post, quote me, and then remove my name from the *To* field and put yours in?
It is directed to EVERY baptized Catholic who says they were Catholics, then proceeds to attack Catholicism.
Your quote has been said a million times by others. I don’t want others to think that you are unique in your deeds.
