Also I sense, Pope Benedict has never forgotten his predecesor who had to stand up so many times to the oppressive forces of marxism in his own home nation, which even included celibrating Christmas midnight mass outside in a park of a city that was built but did not have a church to worship in.
Thanks for bringing that up....I forgot about the Polish Pope who also saw the evils of socialism and communism in his hometown. Godlessness has always led to Cultures of Death and one without hope and massive killing.
If anyone today understands the extreme evil and nihilism of Marxist ideology—it is this Pope with his German background and his brilliant mind and the ability to digest all that Postmodern German philosophy in the original language.
When you understand and can define the ideas you are fighting, you can be much more effective.
