As expected, you just can't handle the truth.
Since I can't easily hand you my copy of the LDS published King James Bible (which I take with me to church every Sunday), here is a link to Matthew Chapter 1. If you have never been to the LDS scriptures website before, you should see footnote indicators (if you don't see footnotes, look for the link on the right that says "show footnotes").
Scroll on down to verse 16 and click in the word "who" indicated by footnote d. Up pops the Joseph Smith Translation, which says "as the prophets have written, who is called Christ."
Verse 18, footnote a is another JST note.
In Matthew Chapter 2 you can see a case where the JST is longer and is included in the appendix. See verse 4, footnote b.
In the printed version the footnotes are on the bottom of the page. For example, the first page of Matthew chapter 1 has the King James text in two columns, running through verse 18. Under that is a solid line, then three columns of footnotes. At the bottom of the middle column, last line, it says "d JST Matt. 1:4 . . . as the prophets" (etc).
Observers, this is the typical pattern in these threads. Any answer provided by the LDS is either ignored or claimed to be a lie. Even something as simple of what our printed Bible looks like. I have just been accused of lying when I have told the exact, complete truth.
SENTINEL, are you mature enough to apologize?
The verses or portions of the JST verses that the Church wants you to have access to (that are in the POGP, exactly as I said) pop up printed when you click the footnote.
The portions THEY ARE ASHAMED OF, like Genesis 50 25-33 where Joe Smith wrote himself into he bible comes up as a link that goes nowhere. Also, NOWHERE on the LDS website is a copy of the JST version of the bible in it's entirety.
Sly, cunning and deceptive.
JST Genesis 50:
25 And it shall come to pass that they shall be scattered again; and a branch shall be broken off, and shall be carried into a far country; nevertheless they shall be remembered in the covenants of the Lord, when the Messiah cometh; for he shall be made manifest unto them in the latter days, in the Spirit of power; and shall bring them out of darkness into light; out of hidden darkness, and out of captivity unto freedom.
26 A seer shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be a choice seer unto the fruit of my loins.
27 Thus saith the Lord God of my fathers unto me, A choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren.
28 And he shall bring them to the knowledge of the covenants which I have made with thy fathers; and he shall do whatsoever work I shall command him.
29 And I will make him great in mine eyes, for he shall do my work; and he shall be great like unto him whom I have said I would raise up unto you, to deliver my people, O house of Israel, out of the land of Egypt; for a seer will I raise up to deliver my people out of the land of Egypt; and he shall be called Moses. And by this name he shall know that he is of thy house; for he shall be nursed by the king's daughter, and shall be called her son.
30 And again, a seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and unto him will I give power to bring forth my word unto the seed of thy loins; and not to the bringing forth of my word only, saith the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them in the last days;
31 Wherefore the fruit of thy loins shall write, and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write; and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together unto the confounding of false doctrines, and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins, and bringing them to a knowledge of their fathers in the latter days; and also to the knowledge of my covenants, saith the Lord.
32 And out of weakness shall he be made strong, in that day when my work shall go forth among all my people, which shall restore them, who are of the house of Israel, in the last days.
33 And that seer will I bless, and they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded; for this promise I give unto you; for I will remember you from generation to generation; and his name shall be called Joseph, and it shall be after the name of his father; and he shall be like unto you; for the thing which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand shall bring my people unto salvation.
HA!!
You've got to be kidding, right????
And here is a comparison of Mark...
"But when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away, (for it was very great,) and two angels sitting thereon, clothed in long white garments; and they were affrighted.
"But the angels said unto them, Be not affrighted; ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified; he is risen; he is not here; behold the place where they laid him;
"And go your way, tell his disciples and Peter, that he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him as he said unto you.
"And they, entering into the sepulcher, saw the place where they laid Jesus" (JST Mark 16:3-6).
JST = the bastardized version (which does NOT even rate as SCRIPTURE in the MORMON library) that the 'lord' commanded Joseph Smith to 'translate' from the KJV.
What does SCRIPTURE really say???
3And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? 4And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. 5And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. 6And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
