The bible says if you break ONE of the commandments you have broken them all (Jam 2:10)... so if she every talked back to her mother, she would be an adulterer and murder and a thief.. just as we all are..

My question was does the state of HER soul affect our salvation??

Like every other mortal human, she undoubtedly committed all of these and more.

In fairness he may have meant that she too inherited original sin not that she committed sins.

And is God a liar?

Romans ch 3
23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Well, a little Scripture might be of use to you:

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)

Either all means ALL, or it doesn't.

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all]. - Hebrews 10:10

Again, either the sacrifice is for all, or it is not. This verse also denies the existence of any kind of purgatory. Christ's sacrifice was perfect and enough to save all (even Mary) from sin.

Mary refers to herself as the 'handmaid of the Lord' (Luke 1:38). Were Mary sinless, she would not be the Lord's handmaid; she would be His equal. Being human, that is not possible.

The Bible does not list Mary's sins. That does not mean she is sinless. In fact, Paul's words indict the entire human race.

I wasn’t there, but the source of this statement was:

Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 5:12
[ Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ ] Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

According to Dictionary.com:

all -

the whole of (used in referring to quantity, extent, or duration): all the cake; all the way; all year.

I believe that would include Mary.

It is interesting to note, BTW, exactly how, in the Bible, Jesus converses with and refers to His mother. But God did not choose her because she was blessed. Rather, she was blessed because God chose her.

She was obviously a righteous person, but not without sin. For her to be sinless, her mom and dad had to be sinless as well, and on and on.
